Wait the guy in charge said he was going to conquer the virus… he was going to gather the best to do that. My opinion and millions of others now… let it run wild… let it do what measles did… maybe those in charge should question the origin. “ it’s ALL about the Benjamins.”
what do you think the first M in MMR stands for, genius?

or omicron could be the end of covid

maybe they need to work on better vaccines

I mean the vaccine did what it was supposed to do. It drastically reduced hospitalizations/death. I would have loved if it just had an infinite lifespan to protect vs any infection but that seems like a pipedream.

Only 1 vaccine in my lifetime was what they claimed … Small Pox. This is a therapeutic and nothing more.

Not according to our medical and health czar AF and the President . A long death ridden winter ahead … It is a F’d up world and the originators of this virus still are not being held accountable… that is the real tragedy here.

Smallpox? lmfao. How old are you? Anyway, you have literally no clue what you're talking about. Go back to spreading your insane conspiracy theories on CE.

History proves otherwise.
History says it will die out… or we as a civilization will die out. My prediction from 2 years ago and posted …April 22 , 2022 . My question is how do you suppose most of our DC folks have remained covid 19 free ? Do they remain isolated from everyone but themselves? Strange .

Then get rid of your "We're not doing Faucism" tag since you're such a purist. This is a BB board and we don't need to see political bs like that. It belongs on the CE board. And tell your "Brandon" buddies to drop that tag as well. It doesn't belong here.

thats my signature, we are allowed to have signatures here, I believe there may be an option for you to turn them off. If you have such an issue with it then take it up with rivals.com

This thread actually has been pretty good because we have kept politics out of the discussion and are discussion Covid policy and vaccinations

Faucci said today he would fly on a plane OR go to holiday gatherings. I don't get the hate for this guy.

for me its his lies, backtracking and never admitting he gets things wrong, the moving of the goalposts and then falling back on science is changing

when the messaging has been all over the place, many see him as arrogant and untrustworthy. Remember no one elected him. Those are my thoughts. His comments about vaccines, the percentage we needed to get vaccinated, herd immunity and natural immunity have brilliantly clashed with each other.

He also is very political himself, his comments he made toward Ted Cruz were unprofessional, no matter what Cruz said about him. He is a health expert and shouldnt be commenting on making a political barb.

There is one that will hopefully get approval soon. It’s Covaxin which uses the inactivated (whole virion) virus platform, much like the polio vaccine and others have done. Chances are it will be better for variants (has already proven more effective against Delta).

Over 125 million doses have been administered in India (it was developed by an Indian company, Bharat Biotech), with few side effects and no deaths reported. It’s already been approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) for emergency use (EUA).

They’re now awaiting EUA from our FDA. Their application has been filed by Ocugen (the US partner to Bharat Biotech), based in Malvern PA. Fyi, Covaxin is less expensive, can be stored at cooler room temperatures, and is safer for both adults and children.

Try and imagine yourself in his position. How do goalposts not change? It is obvious what side you always have to err on.

Being against Ted Cruz isn't political, it is logical. I don't know what Faucci said, but I am sure it was right.

Albert Einstein said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand."

This lends some people who can’t spell PhD to believe that they should challenge the collective knowledge and wisdom of our best and brightest scientists.

Look, man, the scientists were not 100% correct on every detail regarding a fluid and chaotic situation, and therefore whatever **** I just made up is equally credible.

Cruz basically made a psychotic comment that he should be imprisoned and Fauci responded with mild retort about 1/6.

Exactly. The same with the vaccines. The MAGATs on here get all frothy about vaccine guidance and dosing recommendations changing but that is quite literally how this works. As data comes in you adapt.

Two big COVID related items (1 sports, 1 personal)

1. CDC just released reports that unvaccinated kids (my kids are 4 and 5) can stay in school even if they are a "close contact" if they test negative daily. As a reference, my 4yo daycare class was just closed for 14 days because someone in class tested positive - rest of class considered "close contact". We had daughter tested 5 days later (negative)but still had to stay home for the full 14 days.

2. NFL is changing their protocols. This has been discussed all week. Owners have been pushing for similar changes (get Vaccinated-Close Contacts back on the field quicker) and the Union has been pushing against.

That should say retort, not report. Either way probably F should bite his to tongue in that situation but it was such a minor rebuke to Cruz basically saying he should be thrown in a gulag.
