We were informed about Klintman by a former team mate of his on the Swedish National U 18 team. We scouted him and had him on campus for an unofficial and now an official. He has grown 2-3 inches and is now in the 6’9”:category and is capable of playing multiple positions. His skill set is that of a point forward but he is growing into a 4/5 with more upper body strength. His relationship is with a present team member and you don’t have to be a genius to figure out who he knows because the other player is also from Sweden. I am not saying we get him but we should at least be in the final 2-3 as there is mutual interest. People on this board think he will be a Wahoo but they already have 3, 4 star player verbals two of which are forwards.

Virginia is losing 3 senior guards and one forward. They are in top 6 for a top 35 guard and a top small forward. They have 1 guard verbal a wing verbal and a stretch verbal. Believe there may be only one to give. I am more concerned about Kansas, Maryland abd Loyola.
Just to update, going into the 2021/22 season, Virginia has just ten scholarship players on the roster. Currently, there are three commitments for the 2022 class, and, at the moment, there are only three targets who are thought to be still actively recruited, and no one knows for sure about one of them. They are all front court players (no guards), and the general consensus is that only one will be taken. While there are three current scholarship players who will be entering their fourth year of competition, it is unknown if any of them will take advantage of the NCAA's extra year. There is a general feeling that going forward, with the transfer portal being what it is, UVa will not have a full complement of 13 scholarship players on the roster. Reportedly, Coach Bennett will be in Kansas this weekend for Sunrise Christian's open gym.

That's a good bit of information and detail.....thanks for adding that to the board.

Who are the other 2 potential prospects on UVAs board??

At the moment, it is thought that the staff is trying to arrange an OV for Ryan Dunn. Julian Phillips has Virginia listed in his Top Ten, but no one knows much about his recruitment or his leanings. As Virginia cannot make any comments about whether an offer has been extended, and since the Phillips' camp is very secretive about the whole process, no one knows much of anything.

We have a hidden advantage no one has talked about: There are three Swedish athletes on campus. There is Sam Vretman and Robin Jutwreten in football and Oskar Palmquist in basketball. It would be nice to be able to hang out and converse in your native language with your fellow countrymen in what was once "New Sweden".

As recruiting at this stage has become rather fluid, here's an update for you. It appears that Coach Bennett did not attend the open gym at Sunrise Christian. No one from Virginia's staff did. Everyone was on the road visiting 2023 prospects. However, Ryan Dunn is reportedly taking an OV to Charlottesville this weekend. If he commits, I am unsure what this means for Klintman's recruitment, but it certainly reduces its importance. I think. What I believe is reliably true one day (wrt recruiting) is being proven false the next.

kid has a good graphics sense.. good use of space.. if he did that himself or chose it
Most of these graphics are done by instagram bloggers on basketball and cost around ten dollars. The commitment videos are also usually inexpensive. Most of the people that do them are high school kids that blog hoops. There is one that I know of in Jersey ballers_domain. He interviews recruits and does videos. I know the list of colleges that follow him includeS RU, Illinois, Kentucky, etc. It’s free. Polachek does it for Zagoria and there are bunch of them in Cali and Florida one of them is J Weinstein. It’s free so try it out. I have seen Max’s interviews with Moore and several other kids RU recruited on that site.

Well, we're in Bunch's top 3 with a decision looming on October 31, but if he doesn't take another visit here, we can probably kiss him goodbye.

I have a feeling the fourth ship is going to Mongolian Mike.

Maybe we get another "under the radar" guy. Matty Curtis with Fairfield & Hartford offers. We're good at landing that type
Matty Curtis recently reclassed to 2023, but yeah we’re probably gonna land Mongolian Mike to finish out ‘22.. I doubt we get the Bunch commitment

Pike’s close on a lot of guys, just can’t seem to close the deal that often. Besides Cliff, Jaden, and Mathis he’s really second or third place a lot.

All I’m saying is, with the way the transfer portal is, that isn’t as bad a result as it used to be

If I were a Terp fan I’d want to buy a top name coach from the BE. I think the Providence, SHU or SJU coach would be a great get for them. These schools don’t have the same resources as the Terps. They can all recruit, coach and they all know how to play the game.
