Whomever of Reiber, Mag or Palmquist figures out that playing defense in Years 1 and 2 is how you stay in the rotation and on the court, will play.....as much as Eugene was limited to non-existent on offense his freshman year, it doesn't take skill to take a charge, move your feet to stay attached to your man and battle on the glass.
None of these 3 players are going to be a 1st, 2nd or 3rd options to score on a B1G level winning team, but if they can hurt an opponent as the 4th or 5th scoring option, you have a chance to carve out minutes. The longer you stay on the court, the more the ball eventually lands with you and then you have a chance to convert on offense.
It's the same way teams defend Mulcahy on this current roster....it's been RHJ, Geo, JY/Caleb and then either Myles or Mulcahy/Mathis as the open corner 3 guy.....
I think Reiber has the best chance to stick around as a backup 4 or 5 that becomes a good glue guy. Mag and Palmquist to me have less time to make hay, because there are more options at those positions to go to.
