Politics aside nice to have a Governor who strongly supports Rutgers.
We R with U. Not bad gov.
Its the State University. Period.Agreed. We have to be the only state where our Governor's have never vocally supported the state school and in some cases, worked against it. Murphy was instrumental in getting Greg back and had been a huge hoops fan since taking office. Maybe past Governors were worried about how Seton Hall fans would feel, but I am sure states like Indiana, Illinois and Michigan have handled similar issues

FYI... Purdue is a public land-grant research university....and I am sure past Governors of Indiana don't outwardly root for private schools like Notre Dame or Purdue over the Hoosiers.
Well said. I don't care what party the Gov is, that person ought to support the State University both as an entity and in sports, as that is so visible (even if they didn't go to RU, they ought to adopt RU as their "second" school and pay homage). Most of the previous Gov's on both sides have sucked at this. Murphy has been great at it.Politics aside nice to have a Governor who strongly supports Rutgers.
