Beats Indy tonight 74-67 on the road. Very solid on D and scorers that can hit shots from all over the floor.
Were they picked to finish 12th?NW this year is RU last year. Going to be a surprising team, lot of good pieces, will start to come together
I felt like they were very good last year but didnt have that final player to close out games. It seems like they now have that player.
Indiana isn’t good, they’ve been mediocre for many years nowIt was more that they had a lot of young players who just didn’t know how to close games out. I am not surprised at all that things are coming together for them now that their guys are a year older.
I also thought Indiana was overrated this year. Trace Jackson-Davis is very good, but they still are lacking backcourt scorers and shooters.
Penn state , Minnesota , Nebraska and that’s it , hahaNJH,
If NW is a NCAA team who in the B1G isn’t?
Yea maybe Maryland too. Honestly it will be interesting to see how the committee picks teams this year with so many conference games . I think it’s going to be a lot of the eye test and maybe less on recordsIndiana and Maryland????
NJH,
If NW is a NCAA team who in the B1G isn’t?
The list has to be 6. This is provided the selection is “normal”. I am not sure it is a normal 68 teams.
Lets slow down with the coronation of Northwestern..lets see how they do today
Hahah, we would have been called for like 3 fouls on that last possession
If you watch on the initial drive , the northwestern defender pushes Washington in the back with a forearms soon as he takes off in the air causing him to fade to the rightall by Johnson.

Yep, the refs let them play .If you just watched NW-OSU battle you gotta be even more po’d by the fouls called on MJ.
As it should be.Yep, the refs let them play .
Iowa just lost to Minnesota. Very doubtful they ll be looking ahead to a future game. You can’t in this conference this year.NW goes to Iowa next before Iowa comes to the RAC on Saturday........will Iowa start to look ahead to playing at RU....?? Hard to overlook a team at 3-0 in the B1G, but NW has some momentum heading to Iowa City. Hawkeyes off a tough loss probably gets refocused and gets a home win and gives Wildcats their 1st conference loss.
NW in the past 1-2 weeks has learned how to win. I said this is another post that NW will be the most improved team in the conference because they were in so many close games last year and could not close out the games. With losing practically no one and the players more experienced, it appeared to only be a matter of time. Good for them but bad for the conference. Just another dogfight opponent in a conference full of them. They are learning how to close games. This conference is very scary. You are going to have NCAA caliber teams with below .500 in conference records.
