Even the pass to cutting Harper early on is a look most big men don't give

4-4 fg, 2-2 ft, 10 points, 16 boards, 2 blocks in 25 minutes

One of his most impactful games ever as a Knight
As impressive as his game was tonight , I was most impressed by his fluent Japanese and academic accomplishments. He's a remarkable young man and a great ambassador for Rutgers and the Johnson family. He's got a terrific future ahead of him whether in or out of basketball.

With his hair and performances like this he really reminds one of Artis Gilmore.

looks like Myles wants a few more blocks . Can’t argue with him
There

He had 4 blocks alone in the highlight video clear as day, he's 100% right. Stats were off. Omoruyi had at least 1 and it says 0 for him.

This has been an ongoing thing. They always undercount blocks. Its like they only count posterizing blocks or something.

Solid d, sure. Will never be more than a 5th option on offense. Nothing wrong with that. Someone’s got to be.

Agree with everything thats been said already , really improved, great hands , maybe his most impactful thing is his rim protection tho , he had more than 2 blocks but he alters every shot around the rim when he is in, saves rutgers countless points on the defensive end.

Myles is one of the elite centers in the Conference. Hopefully he consistently brings this kind of effort every night and starts getting the respect he richly deserves.

I think before the season there was a thread about whether Geo or RHJ was the most important player and you said it was Myles. I'm still #teamRon...... but it's a paper thin margin at this point.
Was last year....and it wasn’t close

Tonight he was posted a few possessions and Young didn’t throw it in. There was a penetration where Geo had a few guys on him and had Myles open and he forced it.

I don’t want to rank options, but it is up to guards to give him the ball. He was pretty efficient today when he did.

He would be Tim Duncan...except with like an inch longer wingspan...
That's a tall order, comparing him to one of the best power forwards of all time.

He could be a DOMINANT college big man. He just needs to bring the effort every night and avoid the dumb fouls. I thought one called on him in the 2nd half tonight was a bad call, but he gave away another one on the perimeter. Kudos to Myles for cutting down on those. He is so solid on D, passes great for someone his size, and has great hands too.

Someone said if Myles develops his post up game he’d be a star. Myles has similar physical measurables to Duncan (including good wingspan) and doesn’t rely on leaping ability (like Duncan) and is already a tremendous defensive player and rebounder (like Duncan). If he ever becomes a 75% free throw shooter, watch out!

I was as impressed by his 2-2 from the line, considering the horrendous FT shooting from everyone else..also by his 4-4 from inside, when there were so many missed layups..his 2 GTS blocks were awesome..

The biggest change I see in MJ from last year is his speed of getting back in the paint after high hedges. CO got burned on that a few times last night and it clearly shows the difference between MJ and a freshman.

Last year he was a good passer with vision but he seems to have improved on that so far.

Rebounding? well... what to say there? 9RPG in 20 min. I dont know of a rebounds per 100 stat but I would think he is up near the top of the BIG.

One thing I an not so enthused about is his low block offense. I was really expecting to see him more polished in the block with the ball in his hand. Small sample size so far and I agree he has not had enough opportunities to shine so we will see.

Cant wait to see the MJ vs Cockburn battle this weekend.
