To our visiting fans, good game.

I think you guys have nice, cute little team there. Gave us a scare for a minute until we woke up, but we're just a little much for you guys to handle. Lucky for you guys we played horrible defense tonight but was still enough.

Hang in there though you guys look like you could have something someday

Syracuse will now slowly fade into irrelevance as Boeheim gets close to retirement. Playing for big nose on national TV against Georgetown and Villanova isn’t there anymore, you can only get blown out in Durham, North Carolina so many times before NYC players decide they don’t wanna go freeze their butts off anymore in the concrete bubble.

other than that, good game

What about their coach? Especially from opposing coaches we got high marks for our terrible coaches.

They are lucky we brought our C game tonight. And didn't have the RAC or Baker or Cableb. That would have been a 20 point win otherwise. Cute team is right. Where did they get that out of shape guard who looks like he should be standing on line at the sub shop? Basic dudes were rejoicing.

I've been a fan since the 70s
This is the least talented and the most poorly coached team I can remember at Syracuse.
I really figured this to be a bad matchup for us given what I had come to expect from SU
If we had played with our typical intensity, we could have won by 25, even without Geo.

I am a RU alum who also went to Cornell and grew up near Cuse. Beating Syracuse is an incredible GREAT thing IMO. They have been ranked for most of my life and NOW...WE own them.

Why exactly are we trying to wish cuse fans well? They are all over their forums calling harper fat, they keep saying it should've been easily won, and they are the obsessive fanbase with a literal 411 page thread titled the all inclusive Rutgers dumpster fire thread.

Here is my message to cuse fans. F*** all of you. Every single last one of you. Rot in your frozen hell and understand WE underperformed against your mentally incompetent team. This should've been a 20+ point victory.

All kidding aside ..If you look at the recruiting for .Syracuse in the past 4-5 years...it’s not what you would think it would be with them in the ACC

Their program’s next hire is going to be critical for them ...and it’s coming not far down the line as JB only has a couples more years left

Syracuse could someday have an atmosphere that rivals the RAC, not saying they will have an 18-1 home record like us, but could get close, if they someday build a real basketball arena instead of renting out their sterile football stadium.

Just wanted to say it without being subtle. Their fans are venomous scumsuckers pretending their aging basketball program and football team that we would wipe the floor with are relevant.

It’s too bad that RU could never have a rivalry with them, since they always won our games in FB and MBB.

Now the shoe is on the other foot. We will continue to beat them like a rented mule. They will learn to like it over time, I hope.

This is great. Can’t understand why any good player would want to play there any more. Just teaches players to play a lazy *** zone. The real truth is that we stunk yesterday and Syracuse sucked worse.

Oh yeah, what kind of team are you that a “fat” kid just made you his *****?

Good point. Didn’t remember us winning so many during that time. Cuse fans look at their 30-12 overall FB series record vs RU.

In MBB it’s even worse before last night. They still talk about Johnny Flynn dunking over Mike Rosario.

Series History: Syracuse leads 39-9 and has won the past 13 meetings. The last time Rutgers was victorious in this series was against the eventual national champions in 2003 behind a 31 point performance from Jerome Coleman and a three-pointer off the glass to win it from Herve Lamizana.

I'd like to see us play them regularly in both sports as regional rivals and former conference foes now that we are the better programs in the better conference it would be fun to beat them down

B1G currently leads 6-1 after Tuesday’s games. But I think the matchups favor the ACC to tighten it up tonight.

will agree they cannot press US... not with speed and handling of JY and the passing of everyone else. I would add Mathis to speed and handling.. but his vision and decision making can be suspect.. but speed and handling goes a long way to beating presses. Lot of mistakes that game by everyone.. including PM who is usually pretty selective in his passing.

Maybe if they waited to see a bunch of frosh on the floor.. that might have been a good time to press.. maybe Boeheim is missing something these days.
