If Syracuse can’t play, hopefully we can schedule another team on short notice for next week.
Because Ivy League not doing winter sportsIf we’re stuck with local schools why not get princeton on the schedule?
Isnt there 1 ACC team not playing the challenge? Maybe swap out Cuse for that team?If Syracuse can’t play, hopefully we can schedule another team on short notice for next week.
St. Peter's, NJIT, Marist, Iona, Fairfield, Drexel, LaSalle, St. Joe's, Delaware, Towson St.?
What? And Coach B spent the game last night with his mask holding up his chins.
People need to seriously chill with worrying about playing games. This season is not like any other season. You aren’t going to get punished because you only played 3 weak OOC games.

I disagree. We appeared to be on solid ground last year and then the last couple of weeks, many projections had us slipping because, although we had a very solid record, everyone became pre-occupied that we only won one road game. We were slipping out of the tournament until we got the win at Purdue. There is no reason we shouldn't be playing a real out-of-conference team.
The past several years, we have seemed to duck challenges - using youth as an excuse and relying on the B1G schedule instead. This year was finally going to be different (with Baylor, etc. - until Covid killed it.). Yes, this is a different year, but let's make the best of it. Who knows how many teams will even make it this year. If they cut it to 32, 11-9 or even 12-8 in the B1G might not even get us there. This is the best team we've had in probably 30 years, we shouldn't settle on 3 out of conference cupcakes only if we can help it. Beating Hofstra does not improve the team for B1G play as much as playing a Baylor will.
This year they may take both. It would t shock me if OOC games weren’t even used by the committee this year. What? Of course it matters. What if us and Indiana both finish 10-10 in the Big Ten. You don't think they'll look at their wins against Providence and Stanford (and maybe Florida State or Butler which are still to come) as deciding factors??

Don’t understand what his observation was Mike? He’s had it already. All indication is he’s fineb
I believe St. Joes had to cancel temple and another Big 5 game as they are on hold.St. Peter's, NJIT, Marist, Iona, Fairfield, Drexel, LaSalle, St. Joe's, Delaware, Towson St.?
I am jonesing for another game as much as any one but I think the post season importance is being overstated. Our post season is going to hinge on our success in conference play and not our OOC. The BIG is so good that short of a complete conference collapse, going 500 will result in a nice seed. I doubt that the difference between making the tourney or not ( or even seeding) will come down to a December win of a Drexel or a Towson.

Play The Hall at a neutral site such as FDU

My guess at this point is that a game won't happen this year or next, but will resume at the Rock for the 22-23 season. SHU doesn't want it at the Rock, but they still want next year's game to be at the Rock.... RU wants to play this year, but wants next year's game to be at the RAC as scheduled. I don't think they're going to get that sorted out for this season or for next season, and the series will resume at the Rock in 2022.
That's why it makes sense to play them at FDU this month.
Play at The Rock next season
If there are 64 teams in the tourney, as usual, you are subject to the same standards in the end.......because in the end, if your ending record is similar to anothers program, they will look at strength of schedule, and the out of conference games
the example used where Indiana and RU winding up with the same record is a good one.....Indiana would get in the tourney over RU based on out of conference play.
its not like there are more spots available, than last year......the same criteria would come into play, even if it seems like it won't// the committee would be forced to look beyond the conference record to make decisions
This year they may take both. It would t shock me if OOC games weren’t even used by the committee this year.
