it's actually safer to shake hand now because hand sanitizer is every where you go.

no he said we would never shake hands I have shaken hands several times already. If you shake hands, wash your hands or use sanitizer, its not that hard

What he said was patently absurd while he goes ahead and says Tinder hookups are fine

Think about it... people are washing their hands more now then at anytime in the past 50 years....probably 7-8 times more on average ... now take a family of 4 .....that’s a whole lotta towels being used...now take our state and total population and multiply it out...those paper companies can’t produce enough and it will be worse during the next go around.
No need for paper towels . Why not just use a regular towel like my family does ? Replace it when needed with a clean one . Saves a lot of money.

Paper towels......Costco, or as a replacement we've used Mulitfold towels or center pull rolls. There is a world out there beyond Shoprite for many of us.
You are thankfully one of the very few ...Shop Rite has been able to support the majority of their customers with all their needs and those people in the chain deserve our appreciation... you personally may not like them but they didn’t get to where they are by accident.

Soft Soap (Liquid soap) is a hard find also.
We used to use soft soap but now we fill our soap dispensers with body wash . If the body wash is good for my head , chest , knees , and feet it's good for my hands.

It’s fine for perhaps a bath towel but if you need to wash your hands multiple times then I would believe that’s not as safe... but I see your point.

It was hard to find here until recently. I saw a lot of "anti-bacterial" hand soap which is much more expensive so i didn't buy but not the regular cheap stuff which works just fine thank you. Bought this for a buck just yesterday

I don't buy antibacterial. I feel it's how you wash and the amount of time that gets those germies gone!

I have been going to my local Stop and Shop recently instead of the Piscataway Shop Rite, which is on my way home from work. There really haven't been any shortages of either TP or paper towels there that I have seen, maybe on one trip. In the beginning of all this that store was really struggling to keep up but is doing fine now.

For what it's worth I was in Costco Sunday, and they had tons of Softsoap 2-packs, toilet paper and paper towels. Although so many carts going out of there seemed to have the paper towels and TP. I guess people are still stocking up. Who knows.

Hilarious...get microfiber towels and clean with that...then wash in the washing machine. I never understood the run on paper towels and the inexplicable run on bottled water back in March and April. Puzzling!

yes what you say may be true but most people have little idea with the hand wash thing even people who clean freaks.

It’s a vicious cycle. When you notice certain supplies are in short supply and then one day you walk into Costco and they have them in stock, you’re much more likely to buy them straight away instead of waiting until you run out which then quickly depletes the store’s stock. I’m guilty of this as well.

You do realize that if someone is infected and blows their nose or wipes there nose or picks their teeth and then shakes your hand and you scratch your nose or your hand goes in your mouth or nose that is a vector for transmission. It sounds far-fetched but its possible .

Its going to be awhile before certain customs become acceptable again.

Been going on for hundreds of years. It's called an immune system. I have and continue to shake hands. I

A friend of ours is a local warehouse manager for Stop & Shop. She said about a month ago paper supplies were getting low. I haven't noticed it but did pick up an extra pack of TP and paper towels as a result.

Shop Rite's cleaning aisle has just been bare every time I go. Yet I go to Stop & Shop or BJ's and they have stock. Strange.

Wash my hands in Dawn. If it's good enough for baby sea birds, it's good enough for me. Local Walmart had plenty of TP last week, but no PT.

I would tend to believe Shop Rite is also in mid stream of changing over it’s entire brands’s name to Bowl n Basket and the Bird N ??? ...so that and the fact that suppliers were behind for what 3-4 months on those product lines...especially paper towels and TT...

FYI:
Amazon Fresh has Lysol wipes.. I've ordered 3 so far(limit is 1 per order) Stocking up....
Was shocked yesterday AM. My ShopRite had the small size canisters of Lysol wipes. I actually didn't know they made a smaller size.

Walmart had plenty of PT yesterday and at least a pallet load of TP. Shortage is over for now until the next panic when people buy 200 rolls of TP and PT each until the shelves are bare.

The next "more serious wave" according to the so called experts is on its way. Expected to be in a neighbor hood near you , me , and the rest of civilization as soon as the weather turns chilly. The peak is supposed to be around Thanksgiving. Prepare NOW for the coming panic. Beyond the fear mongering , BJ's in Ledgewood is stocked very well with every ones paper needs .

I went to an ENT doctor yesterday and the first thing he did when he entered the room was to shake my hand. I was a little surprised at that and also when he said he wouldn’t be wearing a mask if it wasn’t for company policy. But what do ear, nose and throat doctors know about Covid?

Exactly, save a tree or two and use the hand microfiber towels from Costco if you can, they work great, a quick wash with hot water and soap and there as good as new, plus you save yourself some money over the course of a year.

I thought it was OK to dip my hands in fish tanks as I walk by them.

Mary Anne is telling me it's hard to find Tapioca pudding or Butterscotch as well.
Along with Ginger Bread mix, or is she fibbing ?

No, he is Phila educated and took a job recently in SW FL. I went there for chronic ear infections while using pricey pharma prescriptions for the past year. He talked about the high price of prescription ear drops for both bacterial and fungal infections and steered me to homemade solutions with white vinegar. And the white vinegar solution has worked very well. It was $72 for 10 days of the pharma drops vs free with vinegar that is on everyone’s kitchen shelves.

Im signing up for him to be my main ENT doc going forward.
