@kyk1827 this would be an ideal Basketball OC
+1This was just a head scratching decision by him to go to the nba
Can see Beilein going to:
- Texas should Shaka be canned
- Indiana should Archie be canned
- Northwestern
- Syracuse should Boehrim retire
- Villanova should Jay Wright go NBA

IMO, It was always a very strange decision.

My guess is he will be retiring. Not a spring chicken. I think he had tired of college and competing against teams he felt were cheating to recruit players without ever getting punished and he wanted to take a shot at the NBA and basketball at the highest level without anything to worry about off the court.
Turns out his best skills as a coach are teaching fundamentals and developing young players and not necessarily relating to a bunch of rich professionals and getting the most out of them.
I think Indiana and others are too soon to start talking about replacing a coach...Archie Miller has been at Indiana since 2017 and has a 7 year contract....Georgia Tech and Oklahoma State are also very early into their tenures.
Beilien probably could land at Minnesota if they wanted to replace Pitino Jr and maybe change how Minnesota plays....I am not sure what type of demand Beilien would have this spring from colleges. It seems like an easier hire to go younger and with a mid major coach that's due.
Well most of the talk from Indiana fans right now is whether the buyout for Miller makes removing him possible. It's not a question of if but when. Frankly, it's hard to disagree with them having no confidence in this guy.
How did a good coach like Miller fail at Indy? That should be a easy situation to win games. Maybe the fan demands post Knight are too high?
He is recruiting the wrong kind of kids. They literally have no identity and I dont think they play hard
Expectations are high there but no sure they are realistic. Its the 70s anymore. They need to go back to basics
