A win over a top 30 team at home or a top 75 team on the road - really? By that brilliant definition Illinois tonight was not a Quad 1 win, but it would have been one had we beaten Vermont or Colgate on the road. Gimme a f'ing break.

It’s dumb very dumb. A road win over Maryland is treated the same as a road win against Vermont and Colgate. Very flawed
NCAA probably wants to encourage P5 teams to go on the road to mid-majors.. why? because P5 can leave the NCAA and start their own organization.
So keep the majority of schools happy.. get as much support in Congress as possible. There are, what? 300+ D1 basketball programs? and around 70 P5?
Interesting thought. The mention of Colgate did have me thinking about Syracuse/Colgate.
This is correct. It is highly unlikely they will climb to top 30 in the NET rankings, especially if they lose next week at Penn State. Not enough sizzle left even if they win their next two against NW and Nebraska.
No matter, we control our own destiny.
