I think we're at best back on the bubble now. Real danger of missing the tournament.
Yay. We get a ribbon. If we don’t dance we will look at all these road “quality losses” as missed opportunities.
Who the hell cares so we can hang with teams BUT WE CAN'T WIN IT IS THE SAME AS LOSING BY 20 ITS STILL A LOSS!!!!!

No we are not. If we win out at home, we are in. When we lose a home game, start to worry.

Step one is to win 3 more games to even think about bubble. Team is in a real funk right now and walking in fog. Young being taken out also makes it tougher to get the 3 needed wins.
Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Maryland, I feel like I saw the same game 4 times. Hung around but can’t make the plays at the end.
Maryland looked horrible in the first half. They did not look like a top 10 team and they did everything in their power to give the game to Rutgers.
If we lose out at 16-17 do we still make the NIT? Is it still possible to finish 14th in the B1G ?
We have no star players and we don’t shoot it well. Narrow margin of error. Basketball Gawds never kind to us.
I predicted that this board would come unglued when we lost tonight. Not a hard thing to predict but some of you drama queens are something.

Great game, Rutgers. I told you it would be competitive. Maryland might be overrated, but you guys severely underrate your own team (which I can understand!). Good luck going forward...
I agree with the first part of your comment but not the part about offensive sets.Coming out of time outs Rutgers has run plays that has resulted in baskets.The lack of scoring from Harper and Baker has been the main reason for the woeful offense.

No, it's really hard that's why when you throw away golden opportunities to win, you are screwed.
Agreed - this was an expected road loss to a top 10 team - changes nothing for our tourney hopes, although a win would've been huge for those hopes. Still need 4 more wins to lock it up, while 3 still gets us to the good side of the bubble, I think. Still doable, especially if freakin' Geo (and Harper) start playing like we know they can.
First it was 10 to 15 point losses and a blowout and now we're whining more being in the game with 2 minutes left.
Keep in mind it was 47-39 & we're not playing at Northwestern, it's a Top 10-15 team in Maryland.
Tough loss, maddening mistakes but this is an NCAA caliber team and will stick together and be fine.
Credit to Mathis for being tough and making tough shots, FTs and plays....I can see a winning streak being built together in the next couple of weeks.
