No points for close... Starting to be pathetic that we can't get a road win... Michigan neutral site too

I think we're at best back on the bubble now. Real danger of missing the tournament.
Step one is to win 3 more games to even think about bubble. Team is in a real funk right now and walking in fog. Young being taken out also makes it tougher to get the 3 needed wins.

At some point, you need to win a Road game. They have lost by 5,5,3 and 6 to Iowa Maryland Illinois and Michigan. Not talking being a worse team, make a big shot or make a big play once in a while. Holy hell

If we lose out at 16-17 do we still make the NIT? Is it still possible to finish 14th in the B1G ?

Hard to win when you dont have scorers and your coach has never drawn up an offensive set in his career

We have no star players and we don’t shoot it well. Narrow margin of error. Basketball Gawds never kind to us.

I agree with the first part of your comment but not the part about offensive sets.Coming out of time outs Rutgers has run plays that has resulted in baskets. The lack of scoring from Harper and Baker has been the main reason for the woeful offense.

Geo needs to get straightened out. He’s lost

Someone needs to be selfish out there and take control and tell everyone else on the floor to watch me take over. I would hope it’s Kwasi, Harper or Myles at this point.

We need a shooter on the court who can drain 3s. Hopefully palmquist

Need an alpha out there. Too many beta role players

Hope Jacob Young sleeps well tonight. He could have been the difference.

then you don't know what you're talking about. Getting a road win AT UMD was NEVER part of the generally expected plan of a bid..........

win 3 of 4 at home
win 1 of the 4 left on the road...

if we can't win 1 on road...need @least 1 win in B1G tourney....

do that and we are in........

We win this game with Young. Very frustrating. Scoring looks painfully hard

Some of you act like you think winning on the road in the Big Ten is easy

No, it's really hard that's why when you throw away golden opportunities to win, you are screwed.

No. We are still ahead
Agreed - this was an expected road loss to a top 10 team - changes nothing for our tourney hopes, although a win would've been huge for those hopes. Still need 4 more wins to lock it up, while 3 still gets us to the good side of the bubble, I think. Still doable, especially if freakin' Geo (and Harper) start playing like we know they can.

First it was 10 to 15 point losses and a blowout and now we're whining more being in the game with 2 minutes left.

Keep in mind it was 47-39 & we're not playing at Northwestern, it's a Top 10-15 team in Maryland.

Tough loss, maddening mistakes but this is an NCAA caliber team and will stick together and be fine.

Credit to Mathis for being tough and making tough shots, FTs and plays....I can see a winning streak being built together in the next couple of weeks.

I said in another thread

grain of salt.....

Bart has us 1.3 wins above bubble

now we are like 1

a loss to NW puts us on the bubble
