25-20 at the half. Amazing defense, ok offense, but could be up 12 if we hit a few in the last 5 minutes - although they missed a more than a few open shots, too. 9 fouls to 3 pisses me off. I'm not a ref complainer, except when there's a major disparity for no obvious reason and I didn't think we were fouling a lot more than they were. Geo doesn't throw up an airball from 15 if he isn't fouled, for example and that foul on Mulcahy was ridiculous.

But luckily, only Harper and Geo with 2 fouls each, so fresh start in the 2nd half there...

Smith was not pushed.. that was Myles moving backwards that made it look like a push... his arm extended.. it is his fault tough.. if he moved his feet more and reached with both hands he'd never get that cheap call against him

Idk if id call it amazing defense. Maryland missing a lot of good looks from 3

Fouls lopsided and we went ice cold at the end of the half. We really needed to extend our lead to double digits with how cold UMD was. Can't see that continuing in the second half. I would've signed up for up 5 at half, but it seems like we missed an opportunity to really separate ourselves.

At the 12:51 mark, down 6-14
19-6 run the rest of the first half. We should be up more.

Maryland does have a top defense too.

With just a half decent shooting team this game would be going downhill, but we're giving them hope. We need Young on some of the breakouts.

Imagine if we got any help from Geo and Harper. Paul has made a few really easy buckets for the bigs. Might need more of Geo's minutes

Only if we get the 1st half whistle. Refs dont like to be too lopsided fouls wise. We had 8 team fouls UMD had 3-4

Rutgers should be up 12-15...multiple opportunities to extend lead in the transition and seemingly blow it every time.

Our defense is insane today..so good but you know that MD will make adjustments and just like Illinois they will not be cold forever. Its the same kind of feeling..oppressive defense but not taking advantage.

boards are even right now..watch that and watch turnovers where RU has 6 to MD 5

Maryland has taken 15 3s out of 29 shots..they will lose if they keep doing that

Yeah, it’s been consistent. Letting each team mug each other which is fine with me because that tends to favor RUs style play. But I guarantee you refs will tighten it up 2nd half. They always do. Iowa game was exact same.

I really do enjoy college basketball, but overall teams are horrible with basic skills.
Games are filled turnovers, violations and horrendous shooting!!!

The last 5 minutes are another example why Rutgers has such great difficulty winning on the road.The offense goes into hibernation at the worse time while Maryland experiences a scoring drought.

Idk, not with this crew. This is the best crew in the B1G and the least biased against us. Personally I think larry has a soft spot for RU

Lots of no calls from the refs in first half. Wonder if they slow the game down with a ton of calls in the 2nd half like the Iowa game.

Hope MD keeps up this mess and beats themselves. Should easily be a double digit lead.

Up at the half again on the road just like Illinois ... team proving they can be up at the half! ... does the team finish it or does UMD come out and blast RU out of the building ... great to see UMD only score 20! Keep it up!!!!

Smith is so damn skinny that a box out by Mulcahy looks like a foul. That seemed weak to me

Pike usually wins halftme, however RU is up this time, so we will get a big adjustment from Turg...its how Pike counters it that will determine what happens
