From the get go, RU was clearly the more talented squad.

Rutgers was more talented than Indiana...in basketball.

Yes I know that they had some injuries but that still is a statement that just hits you.

Miles, Mathis, Geo, Harper and the Capn---players.

two of Indiana's players we highly recruited and one Langford(5th best in his class nationally according to the RU announcers ) had 12 NBA scouts there looking at him.

That said.....

I thought their two best players Langford and Morgan were more talented than anyone on our team but we had way way more depth in terms of talent.

Neither of them impressed me. Langford is projected as a top 10 pick but he wasn’t anything special against us. Both looked like they were trying to play as individuals instead of playing as a team. I remember when we played D’Angelo Russell at OSU and it was just unfair how good he was.

I thought Harper's length bothered Langford. Their bench was a big fat zippo, scoring two points tonight. Langford and Morgan are very good but I couldn't tell you who their third best guy was tonight.

For Indians's sake, Langford needs to be more alpha. He is too unselfish. Very intelligent player

IU bench was really unimpressive. Amazing it could get to that level with their ability to recruit. They have a lot of issues, but they are just not good shooters. Looked like RU the last couple years.

We missed a lot of chippies, could have been a lot bigger win. I agree we looked like the more talented team.

Good Lord--overall. Their two were good. But they had no overall answer for bigs, nor for EO and call it experience but he has great leverage and talent..

Watch the game without your preconceived star ratings and appears clear RU looks like the better more talented team and would eventually get out of the first half slump. Exactly what happened. Not a huge differential but I fail to see any coach that would trade their squad (ones suited up) for our squad. Aint happenin. Sure they would all take Romeo but this was an overall assessment. Yes a shocking one but as we know Geo and Harpers stars could have been much different (but not the point anyway as it was as to watching NOW)

RU is the better coached team, Indiana may have a couple players with the most talent but that gets you nowhere when you do not have the rest of the players settling into their rolls

second game in a row that Pike coached the pants off of Archie with in game adjustments

Very sorry to say , but we are not clearly more talented. We’re getting better and getting some better players , but Indiana was the more athletic team.
Athletic and talent aren't the same thing. Basketball involves more than just athleticism. Indiana looked surprisingly lacking in talent.

Rutgers has finally started recruiting 'basketball players' like Geo, Mathis, Harper and Kiss instead of trying to teach athletes how to play the game once they get on campus. Eugene is a great athlete who I think by next season will look like a true 'basketball player'...he's already up to 33% from '3' and 70% on FT's this season. I liked how Crispin compared Eugene to an ex-pro in his 40's playing at the Y...playing slow and knowing how use his body to get what he wants.
