So you don't actually believe what you've been saying. Got it.
Actually he didn't exceed anything. My prediction was he would never win a major. He hasn't. I said he might compete in and even win a small tournament. He hasn't won one and has been marginally competitive. If anything, I gave him too much credit.
He's not back. Never was back. And never will be back. +9 as I type, T56. 17 strokes off the lead and well below the cut line.
Tiger is done. Just another guy. Dudes should pay me now.
Nice try. Not going to take the bait and make a dumb bet. His long-term health is still seriously in question, as he's only been back on tour for a few months, so betting on him winning a major is dumb.
Also, you said, "A 100% healthy Tiger now won't be able to compete consistently on tour any more" and you also said, "A healthy Tiger is a mid tier golfer now. He will make cuts, but not seriously contend. Certainly not over a 4 day period or season." So wrong it's not funny.
He was 1199th in the world rankings before his comeback and he's already up to 83rd and if the rankings were done on just the last few months, he'd be in the top 25, with finishes of 23rd, MC, 12th, 2nd, 5th, 32nd, 55th, and 11th. That's certainly "competing consistently on tour" and he has obviously "seriously contended" with two top-5 finishes.
And he looked great today - he's -5 and tied for 24th - could've easily shot 64 if he putted a little better - it takes time to get it all back, but he's getting closer to that.
