Personally, I would have thought that if if wanted to make himself an in-state hero, he would have announced for IU already, but what do I know.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he winds up at Kansas now that Newman and Vick are leaving for the NBA.

Increased competition does not automatically make you better, it just means you have to perform at a higher level to have success. I live in the Atlanta area and I can assure you the Braves are not hoping Bruce Harper re-signs with the Nationals next season because playing against him 18x per year will somehow make the Braves play better. If he is leaving DC, it is much better for the Braves if he goes to the American League.

I love being in the Big Ten but we won't see postseason play until we are at or above .500 in conference. We know the league will have some very tough opponents, no need to root for all of our competition to be as good as they can be. Someone will be at the bottom of the conference and I don't want it to be us.

I hope he goes to Vanderbilt.
Increased competition does make better BB players, discourages baseball players.

What crimes have kansas, duke, and kentucky committed??

Results. Look at the UNC abortion...they win an NCAA championship while under investigation for holding classless classes (only 35% of the class were athletes....and they couldn't figure out that this was skewed statistically proving wrongdoing)?

What about the offers of $$ and other items (rent free? jobs for parents, uncles, pimps / ho's)?

Include Seton Hall, Louisville et al.... attached

Theres a reason I left out UNC. You cant blame a five star kid for wanting to play for Coach K, Coach Cal, Bill self. Not all those programs cheat. Doubt romeo langford is getting paid by kansas.

Believe what you want. What happened getting Bagley last summer at the last moment and how quickly he was cleared. Awful strange. How about Jay Williams going to Duke and supposedly his family getting taken care of. I don't believe he is clean either. Coach K cries all game to the refs and gets preferential treatment. Coach Cal had problems at u Mass and at Memphis. How about World Wide Wes? I don't think they are doing things the right way either.

Anyone who thinks Cal is clean is a joke. Wasn't Final Four at UMASS vacated?

Everyone cheats. We just get caught and don't have the money to hire competent lawyers.

he had Final Fours at UMass and Memphis vacated, if one of his Kentucky seasons comes through for him he will have a trifecta

Indiana has 1 5-Star and 4 4-Star kids coming in. That's quite a haul by Miller.
I keep mentioning what Big teams achieve in recruiting is as important as Rutgers accomplishments. The won/loss records are the end results of recruiting.

As long as he is not using his brothers recruiting tactics that is indeed impressive. The school still has some cache even though its been awhile since they have been really good. They also paid big bucks for Miller (like they did for Crean) and expect these kinds of recruiting results. The question remains whether he can have them contend for the conference title which is also expected.

Combined with Juwan Morgan (if he returns - declared without agent), De'Ron Davis (achilles tear - rehabbing) and Justin Smith, Indiana has the makings of a very competitive team. May take them some time to figure it out.
Romeo is projected as a one-and-done kid, so we may only see him next season. Hate the hoopla for a kid that's renting a jersey for 5 months.

They won the Big Ten in 2016 and 2013 so not sure what being really good refers to.

Increased competition forces better play. If you don't like the best of competition, I suggest you petition Rutgers to join America East. Also you beat better squads, so does your resume for potential post season bids. Losing attitude my friend in not wanting to battle the best and to battle the also rans. Only way to get better is to battle the best not the mediocre and all coaches and players will agree as further evidenced by our games this year vs seton hall, mich state and Purdue etc. I want a strong conference with tough teams overall not like this conference this year which with the exception of the top 4 teams, the conference and perception sucked as evidenced by Nebraska not even getting a sniffle for the tourney nor Maryland for the NIT. Man up!
Player development, better players, combined with increased competition produces better play. Increased competition without the first 2 things produces ugly-*** blowouts.

If memory serves me multiple times during the season the conference had 5 and 6 teams ranked in the top 25. To me that doesn’t make our league pathetic. You could make a comparison to the SEC football rankings where the conference is top heavy and the rest of the league like other conferences
