New Uniforms this year?

Mr Screw,it is weather related. For those of you looking for the new auto snow melting Rutgers Football jerseys...
They said they would go as crazy as Ash wanted in year 2. The thing is, Ash won't go crazy and we will have the same uniforms as last year

Forgive me, but why would we get new uniforms AGAIN? We just got new ones last year when we switched to Adidas, right?
no we did not, we got generic uniforms because Adidas didn't have time to make us custom ones.
WTF? Our uni's are good.
Custom put us in Halloween costumes 4yrs ago.
I'd like to go right back to the '07 uni's, an exact copy, but I'll happily take our current uni.
I wouldn't except Ash to approve over the top flashy uniforms, besides that is so out of style nowadays. However, we literally just had cookie cutter off the shelf uniforms last year do to the time crunch.
Right, deal with Adidas inked in February 2017 and they couldn’t customize uniforms in 5+ months because they were too busy paying Rick Pitino and helping Louisville cheat.
Didn't realize that. While I agree they're a bit generic, they fit the B1G mold. I didn't really have any issues with them.
Neither do I other than the awful "Rutgers" number font and the incorrect placement of the Adidas triangle logo.
Make those two changes (athletic block numbers and the shoulder for the Adidas) and I'm good.

Year two is when all of the teams are supposed to get more customized stuff.
With the explosion of adidas’ brand, they are having challenges. Specifically supply chain issues.

I’m seeing white helmets in the spring practices so far. Last game of the year also had white helmets. Just a hunch, but I think there will be stripe(s) on either the helmet or the jersey, or both. I also prefer the darker red from last season. Somewhere between Ohio st and Penn st. overall.
I’ve always thought these were the perfect Rutgers uniforms. Simple, but not as cookie-cutter as the ones from this past season. I know most people like the 2006 block numbers and letters, but I feel like this font is just “Rutgers”. Considering all the teams still use the letter font, the numbers should match.
I like the all white look, if they brought the 2011 away back with the white helmets full time I think it would look great.
Need the black socks back and to get rid of the white helmets.

Seems to me the big RUTGERS letters on the front, big numbers on the jerseys front and back, as well as big numbers on the shoulders or sleeves is the best scenario.
Even if you change the design or modify the stripes.
Simply keeping block letters and big numbers would make me happy.
Uniforms were a snooze fest last year. Wal*Mart specials. I know many of you like plain, which is fine, but they were down right dull and I am an old fogey. RU in the B1G deserves better.

The Block R should have an athletic block number font to match not a futuristic looking one that makes me think of Battlestar Galactica.
And btw, that particular font in your pics is just “Chicago Bears”, the new one which is worse IMO is the “Rutgers” one.

I love helmet and uni threads... Anyway, I want some stripes on the helmet, jersey and pants like we had here (just add the stripes to the sleeves & we're good):

Not sure if they are officially called that but that is who first comes to mind when seeing that font.
And with Greg’s short time on the Bears staff maybe the look made an impression on him...traditional (in his opinion), historical franchise known for their defenses.
We're supposed to be tier 1 I thought, so we should get those. Now if we could update the design a little...
In the article rutgers is mentioned as one of the schools wearing them next year.
Nike is actually upset about Adidas new uniform threads. Its the same stuff they use. Nike had a grip on the material but no longer does. That's why Adidas is back in the game and the product looks 100% better. Those uniforms look good and the finally got a flywire type collar.
The Marco era helmet with a Block R to go with the Miami “legacy of the U” in our color scheme (orange is red, green is black) would be very solid.

I guess I’m in the minority but I have absolutely no problem with the plain adidas uniform and I hope we keep them long term. Just not a fan of the white helmet.
Good it looks like they moved the adidas logo off the neckline and over to the one shoulder where it should be.
With a few tweaks I (and I think a lot of us feel the same)...

We need a big change in uniforms. Nothing crazy, but we need to distinguish ourselves. The uniforms now look just like Wisconsin and Nebraska.

We arent' getting new uniforms. There were no placeholder uniforms. That was made up.
Besides the fact that the main jersey color is red? What other jersey elements are you referring to? Nebraska and Wisconsin both have stripes on their pants, jerseys, and helmets. Rutgers doesn't. Nebraska and Wisconsin both use white as their primary helmet color. Rutgers uses red. Rutgers jerseys say "Rutgers" across the front. Nebraska and Wisconsin don't use their school name on the front of their jerseys. And they all use different number fonts. They literally don't use any similar uniform elements besides the colors red and white.
