Haven't most adults developed their persona by the time they’re 40 or so?
Is it not strange to anyone else we watched Ben turn Hollywood right before our eyes.

I’ve been looking at a disheveled, bushy haired coach on sidelines for three years, then one day a month ago he woke up with slicked back hair and shades...lol:D

Remember that the Giants kicked a 2 time Super Bowl winner in Coughlin out the door because they were afraid McAdoo would get a gig somewhere else.

I’m a huge Giants fan but this hire was/is a head scratcher. I guess we need to remember that this is the franchise that also gave Ray Handley the head job once

I know he has to say the team "hasn't quit". No coach would ever say otherwise.

But us Giants fans have to hope that they have quit. Because if they're really trying hard to win -- if this is the result of maximum effort -- then this team is in even more trouble than I thought.

Getting run, I mean literally run out(189 rush yds. given up) of town by an 0-9 team this has to be the end for Hollywood. This has gotten beyond putrid when I'm praying to lose so we can see a silver lining of the #1 pick.

You claim to be a huge Giants fan but I'm guessing you don't know why the Giants hired
Ray Handley.

I do. Bill Parcells screwed the Giants. He waited just long enough for Belechick and Coughlin to leave so Young promoted the 4 eyed doofus. Young and Parcells didn't get along because Bill wanted more control.

To be fair, Tom (who I love) was at the end. I didn't like how the Giants hired Mcadoo but the skill set was supposedly there.

McAdoo shouldn't be allowed back on plane home. He is definitely the second coming of Ray Handley who I still can't stand for what he did to Simms.

Parcells was higher on Handley then Bill B.

Giants fire the head coach and GM. They hire Matt Millen for the GM role and he brings in Rod Marinelli as coach. With the first pick the draft, the Giants select Saquan Barkley.

Take it to the bank!

I've read many times that George Young loathed Bill Belichick. BB would

never be head coach under George Young's watch.

Who should the Giants draft with their 1st rounder...it’ll be 1st, 2nd or 3rd pick

Have to look to the future now, QB. Eli's time is coming to an end quickly. Then 2nd rd. Olineman, 3rd rd. Olineman, 4th rd. Olineman. Bring in free agent O lineman as well.

I’m surprised that the Giants thought so much of McAdoo. It’s one of the top jobs in sports and I️ hope they find the right guy. And I’m a jet fan in Pain as usual

Giants better not win any more games. Get the best QB out there with 1dt round or get a top notch olineman. Time to reload the trenches. Eli can be solid for the next 2 years while you get the next core ready.

Tim Pernetti will be the next NY Giant GM

Greg Schiano their new Head Coach.

Kyle Flood the O Line Coach.

Tom Savage will replace Eli Manning.

And oh yeah, Ray Rice, on the roster as Running Back.

I have mad respect for Eli for giving us two of the best postseasons ever for a fan. But he looks tired and ready to pass the torch. Rosen looks like he's a franchise quarterback

Josh Rosen QB UCLA
You don't want a guy with a big mouth who is disliked by his college teammates. GOD, imagine a locker room with Rosen and OBJ? Darnold has not playec well. Jackson for Louisville might be a consideration as well but I'm not sure if he has NFL accuracy.

I think shell shocked is a more accurate description.

And with the first rd. pick I'd trade down and pick up 2 first rounders and either a 2018 3rd or a 2019 2nd.

I would go this way. Build the o-line with first two picks (1st rounders), get QB in later rounds, a la Russell Wilson/DeShon Watson/Dak Prescott/Tom Brady. Need to protect Eli, might have a couple or more good years left.

A lot of teams passed on Russell Wilson because of size, but all he did was win in college (and we had a taste of him against NCState in a bowl game). Same goes for DeShon Watson, who I was hoping the Jets would take (took the Penn State Hack in 2nd round year before, so they weren't't taking another QB). Both guys were there for the taking.

Maybe the back-up from Cal is the answer (Davis?). At least give him some playing time down the stretch. Screw Geno, Giants future is not there.

Hopefully, the days of McAdoo saying he needs to look at the video tape before responding to questions are over this week .

From what I've read, and the little I've seen, the touted qbs have all had issues so far this season. That picture of course could change in the remaining games starting when Rosen and Darnold go head to head. I wouldn't be adverse to trading down to pick-up additional picks assuming Reese and Ross aren't making any of the suggestions.

The only thing harder to do than draft a franchise QB in the first round is to draft a franchise QB in rounds 2-7.

Why is it the coaches fault?
It's looks like the team has a clear lack of talent to me.

The QB has clearly diminished passing ability for the NFC East - potentially worst QB in the division.
Top WRs are hurt and the remaining WRs are young and inexperienced.
RBs are young and inexperienced.
Everyone agrees that the OL severly needs a talent infusion.

The head coach has only been head coach for 2 years (his prior 2 years as OC saw the team go from 28th in scoring offense to 13th then up to 6th).
His first year they tied the record for team wins (11-5).
It not like they only won 2 games his first season and went winless in the NFC East.

The Giants obviously can't expect to be a competative team with such a lack of talent.
The coaches are dealing with what they have as best as they can.
They can't be expected to out-scheme the oppenent, coach up the talent and play over their heads in games.
Competativeness is all based on talent.

And all this negative press about the coaching staff is going to severly impact their ability to recruit.......free agents to the team.
In fact, the team should consider an extension. The coach only has 2 years left on his contact.
How can the coach expect to recruit.....free agents.....when those players aren't sure the head coach will be in NY for the length of their contract?

The team needs continuity as all costs.
No coach will want to come to NY if they see a coach get fired after only 2-3 years.

Did I hit all the talking points? I think so.

All that being said, if Reese is making a Top 5 pick in April this team is doomed for years to come.

You are right. After all, just look at the powerhouse that Millen created in Detroit.
Also, Barkley should not be anyone's first round pick

there was a graphic discussing 1st round drafted RBs. They showed the rb's with the best yards per carry. Only 1 or 2 of the top 10 were 1st round draft picks and at least 2 were undrafted.

They mentioned that finding good Offensive line help is a better use of a 1st round pick since the talent level for lineman is not as deep

Looks like Mara/Tisch are giving McAdoo atleast until the end of the season before they consider how to proceed.

I don't know if McAdoo will be a good coach. He has had an 11 win season and then this season. To me main culprit here is Reese. If you bring in a new GM you should allow him to make his choice of coach though.
