Maybe Brohm wants to coach somewhere that has air conditioning in the visitors' locker room.
You have to figure he's a top 3 name for every ACC and SEC job that opens up.Don't think Brohm is leaving after only a year.
Nah. Lots of kids from the south dream of coaching in a state with limited talent. I give Purdue credit for hiring him but anyone who didn't know from day 1 this was at best a two year rental doesn't watch college football. He wasn't even their first choice and probably for that reason.Brohm going somewhere?
Can you blame him? Our offense didn't complete a pass to s wide receiver a few weeks ago and last week threw just 10 passes. Who wants to play in that offense? Star freshman Bo Melton has 1 catch all season. Complete waste.
Ash needs to figure the offense out quicker or he will lose complete control of the narrative with recruits (if that already hadn't happened6.

I'm not 8 and I'm not saying it's anywhere near the worst job in the Big or that it's even a bad job. I'm simply stating you have a southern kid who including this year, has spent exactly 2 years not in the south. Add to that, it's not an easy place to recruit and it's not a state with lots of talent. Regarding Brohm, you can believe what you read. I'll believe the text that was sent to me from a college coach letting certain people know he had accepted the the Purdue job. Had the little train emoji and all. Lolhttp://www.jconline.com/story/sport...-brohm-purdues-football-commitment/612979001/
Bobinski wanted Brohm at Purdue. When Bobinski fired Darrell Hazell six games into the 2016 season, Brohm’s name was at the top of his list. His research would confirm his initial feeling: Brohm was the right fit at Purdue.
He was the top choice and while he may leave eventually some of the jobs being thrown out there aren't much of a jump. If you're about 8 years old you may think the Purdue job is the worst in the conference but it's not the conference doormat historically. Coaches have won there. Just being in the West division makes the situation better than those trying to climb the ladder in the East.

I'm not gonna get in to that and potentially burn a Bridge but don't worry, he won't be where he went for long either. LolWho was the first choice?
He'd probably jump to Tennessee for equal money. I'm sure he'd have a lot more for assistant salaries there than at Purdue as wellPurdue is reported to be paying Jeff Brohm $3,500,000
Tennessee is reported to be paying Butch Jones $4,400,000
Jeff Brohm is 46 years old - has managed to take the parts / raw materials that were left in inventory (and added some pieces) at Purdue and make them operate better than many expected - and that has garnered attention because many thought that the cupboard was not very well stocked.
Maybe it is Jeff Brohm's dream to make this his life's work & restore Purdue to the Cradle of Quarterbacks glory days of Len Dawson, Bob Griese, Drew Brees, and so on .... but most doubt that ... he is likely to move on to another program with more resources -
Would Brohm jump if Tennessee put the offer at an even $5 million - with other incentives? would Brohm feel that the current Tennessee 'cupboard' has much more in it than Purdue did - or now does?
who knows - but it does seem that Tennessee has Brohm on their radar screen.

Ok. I just find it odd that a college coach would send out a text telling HS coaches to get their kids ready BC the Purdue train is coming to NJ. If in fact, he didn't accept the job as he stated. Maybe he's friends with Brohm and wanted to help him recruit.Brohm was Purdue's first choice. Wasn't Fleck, Les Miles, or anyone else.

Again, does anyone see this profound improvement over Kyle Floods recruiting classes? Not looking to flame here just asking an honest question because I do not see an improvement.
hope Brohm stays, I like watching Purdue be competitive in the west

Well, if Mr. Khakis complains about it, it has to be super, seriously important.Since that impacts him on a daily basis haha.

It also baffles my mind that some Rutgers fans say that the player is too good for Rutgers and they should go to another school. I think that some fans on this board love to hate themselves. The cancer here by several people absolutely stinks. It's posts like this that totally rationalizes a recruits choice to decommit. Why don't some of you guys just contact the player directly and tell him not to come in the first place. It would save is all a lot of anguish. I am sure the staff will continue to recruit him right up until signing day but some of these posts certainly do not help the cause. Thanks for nothing!
Huh? He was one of the best players we recruited. Huge loss. You hate to lose any player you want but this doesn't seem like a big loss.

He is 5' 10 and 170. Aren't there any 6' 3 195 guys out there?Huh? He was one of the best players we recruited. Huge loss.
