As warner wolf Used to say if you took Rutgers and the points, You Won!
you guys you guys are nuts, how in the world could you be excited for the season after watching this game. This game was close we could have pulled this one out and the coaching and play calling sucked which means it's going to suck for the rest of the year

Oh except for Bailey's TD.We never threw downfield....... otherwise we played well
Last year, our QBs could not hit a guy in the flat or in stride. How can u not see him in is an improvement? We did not trust our frosh to attempt a pass in entire games.... QB play will be fine this year, is he great? Probably not, but better than what we have had
I'm sure he does but Jerry didn't call enough play action to loosen the coverage. He ran 1 I think and it was a completion. Also Bolin doesn't look-off his receivers as well as someone as experienced as he is should. He threw 1 Laviano-like "panic" INT. and 1 Nova-like "drill it into tight coverage" INT. I was hoping to see some J. Lewis in mop-up.Does Bolin have a deep ball?
UW is not a top 10 team. Not impressed by them at all

By farSorry Pal. Seen both play. Gio is better on every way.
nah, u and the other idiot ru2055 are gonna be miserable tbis seasonStupid post is stupid
My post says that Jerry is the reason we didn't throw enough. Bolin staring down receivers is a different problem.Bolin is not elite. He's good but he won't win games by himself. Hiwever anyone who thinks he's the problem why we don't throw enough, then you're simply not paying attention.

No way uw is top 10
The hot tubs caught a lot of joking on the TV coverage. The team definitely looked improved. Two questions as I don't want to start a thread.
1) I couldn't make the game and could not find the game on WOR. There was a sportstalk show on in the 2nd quarter and we were getting a few props from the announcers. I though all of our broascasts were on WOR (710AM). There was not another game on instead.
2) Sincerely, were there any issues with the hot tub or pirate ship? Any jokes about such on tv?
I thought that time management (except in the last minutes where they didn't get to the line quickly) was successful for RU. They consistently snapped the ball with 5 or fewer seconds on the clock and minimized the number of Washington possessions in the game. Ash said this was a strategy and they achieved it pretty well for game 1. In one series they reversed course and went to quick counts so that Washington couldn't substitute packages. They did this pretty well too.Let me get this straight playbook will open up, we kept it conservative? wtf is wrong with u? had a chance to win at home against ranked team after miserable season and the coached keep it conservative?
If true, fire them now
Gio is better, bolin lacks arm strength
Clock management needs work
The lines looked great, backers, etc
D scheme in 2nd had too many holes
Kids played well though fespite the handcuffs
Fair enough. I don't think it was realistic to pin all hope to Grant. We certainly found an impressive RB in Gus Edwards and a solid tandem in Edwards/Martin. A very different outcome from last year's game and I'm sure a measure of respect from the Washington players after the final gun.well you well you guys would bend over backwards to make an excuse for for anything that you can regarding this guy. That was a game we could have had the play-calling was atrocious to coaching wasn't very good the kids gave it their all and this loss is not on the kids.
Why do you give the head up his arse guy the time of day?Fair enough. I don't think it was realistic to pin all hope to Grant. It's still a chance to say something positive about the team and their effort. Why do you give the head up his arse guy the time of day?
Probably cause im the only one here with a clueWhy do you give the head up his arse guy the time of day?
Think about that, his strategy. so once again he cant change to win....I thought that time management (except in the last minutes where they didn't get to the line quickly) was successful for RU.
