By the way, how good is Judge? Those homers were like rockets off his bat. One of them was timed as the fastest home run in the history of their timing era. The second half of the season will be a big test for him to see what happens when the pitchers adjust to him. However, he's a lot of fun to watch.

Well if the current Mets don't get out of this funk right now, like on this road trip, their window will be shut to wait for Grandy, Reyes, Familia, and the others to get out of their slumps. Looks like TDA may be starting to get out of his but he has to step up and keep it going. Reyes as well. Conforto must play everyday... move him to C.F. and permanently replace The Human Pop Up when Yo comes back, as Grandy can be the late inning replacement. BTW how long are the Mets can afford to wait for Lagares to get it together?

TJ Rivera finally played 1B last night, where he excelled for Puerto Rico in the ABC. He had a decent night. And I have to admit that TC FINALLY did something by going by his gut instead of the book by bringing in Edgin. Familia is not ready to close (and he never earned it back when he came back last week). Plus I think he screwed up Reed as he hasn't pitched well since going to the 8th inning role.

I just hope that the Mets don't panic and use their prospects to get some 35 year old, quick fix rentals who won't play well for 2 months while Rosario, Smith, and the others star for others for the next 10 years. If they don't do well on this road trip, those prospect should be in NYC soon enough to get some new blood in there.

The Mets need to stay the course, even if it means losing this season. They have smart baseball people, I doubt they'll freak out.

Based on what ?
I'm not so sure they're gonna even have a better record than the Marlins or the Phillies.
Watch them and then tell me how good you think they are.
Your right, let's just skip May,June, July, August, and September and forget the next "140, yes,140 games!!!! Just give the Yankees the trophy.

Not from me and as I understand Yankee fans have been banned from the Mets thread.

Present.
Listen, when I saw the mets lose to Atlanta the other day and slip into last place I began to understand why I was prevented from posting in the mets thread.
When you are fans of a team that is expected to contend in 2017....with five potential 20 game winners in the rotation...and your team can't beat Philly or Atlanta and resides in last place the last thing you need is a guy like me busting you about it. Mets fans would drown in their own tears from my posts there.

From the way I understand it, you were banned because you were picking up where you left off last season. No real conversation, just the same theme over and over again.THE MODS JUST SAID, OH NO, NOT THIS CRAP AGAIN, AND that was the reason. Some of what you said, and say now is TRUE, it's just that you NEVER acknowledge any body else's opinions.

Nah. I'm sure it was the crying from some of the mets fans who couldn't deal with the truth I was speaking.
It's probably for the best anyway as now that the Yanks are on fire and have the best record in MLB and the mets are fighting it out with the Braves for the basement in the NLEast.my comments would have been unbearable for some of the Amazins.
Let them have their safe space.

Come May 1st the Yankees will have the best record in all of baseball. You can't win the World Series in April but you certainly can lose it. Last years awful record prevented them from making the playoffs. This year its the Mets. Season over for them. Yankees still on track to have a season that even Mets fans have to admit is very promising!

Not sure, but the Mets April at worst will be 10-14,at best,11-13,hardly the Yankees April last season at 8-14, and went to 8-16 before a couple of wins, and playing better. Season over, really, with 138 games to play? Another ignorant statement,by a Yankee fan, lol, unreal. Now I can see why the front office gave up so early on the season and traded their top notch bullpen in May, and the fans bailed also. Only the players hung in there, and despite the "best fan base" in sports giving up on them in "April", they almost pulled it out in September, if not for that very bullpen blowing a couple 9th inning games. Easy to talk big now WhiteBus while things are going great, last year, not so much.

You are such an *** and full of bullcrap statements. No one bailed on the Yanks last year. Over 3 million in attendance. 2nd best in the AL last year. The Mets fell way short of 3 million. Take your ignorant comments to your beloved Mets board where you can fantasize about the Mets playoff run this year.
You also keep bringing up the trades last year which shows how clueless you really are. The Yankees didnt miss the playoffs last year because those trade. It was the starting pitching. And in the end those trades made the Yankees farm system the best in the major.
BTW dipshit guess who the closer is for the Yankees these days!!

So predicting a teams demise in April isn't an ignorant statement? The start of the end was the bullpen blowing that game against the Bosox in the big weekend series that determined the fatal outcome of the playoff run, with many more bullpen failures to close it out. What does the best "minor League" system mean anyway. For years the Mets were at the top, or near the top rated minor league systems because of getting high picks when they sucked. It bore very little fruit.

Was at the Yankee game today. Tough loss, but I had a great time. Caught a Manny Machado batting practice HR. Yanks left 16 men on base. Can't expect to win that way. Start a new streak tomorrow.

I can tell you one group of Yankee fans that mostly bailed, those on these boards.I'm betting there have been more Yankee posts so far this season, than after the trades and slow start in April and May.This is the board where Yankee threads came to die, lol. That's a fact, you could never find it on page 1 or 2, for weeks at a time.PS,ShortBus, I love your Vocab, lol.

Clueless again. Maybe you should actually check your facts before you make your childish posts. I stopped posting on two Yankee threads because of ******** like you who troll the Yankee threads because you have nothing better to do in your moms basement. Go back and look at the last two years of Mets threads. My record speaks for itself. I am a huge baseball fan first and foremost. On a hundred occasions I have stated my desire for both NY teams to make the World Series. But you are too fing lazy to actually comprehend or read previous threads. Your nonsense on any Yankee thread is the same thing over and over!. Complete bullship! Why your arent banned amazes me but DJ Spanky must be a Mets fan as he has banned Yankee fans from the Mets threads but allows your utterly retarded nonsense to continue on here over and over and over again. Go back and look at the two Yankees threads from last season jerkoff! You are the reason why Yankee fans stopped posting. Your low IQ crap gets tired and most of us have better things to do than battle a complete retard!
Since your Mets suck this year you have 10x more posts on the Yankee threads than the Mets thread. You are the dumb *** that has bailed in his team!

This season yes, I've posted in Yankee threads.Last season because of how the Big 3 and others were blowing up Mets threads I didn't post once in Yankee threads,so your wrong again. In fact, going to many threads on these boards, you've crashed and burned with so many posters on here, it's kind of funny you calling anyone out to be banned. How have I bailed on the Mets? I was just pointing out your predictions are not off to a good start,so why would I think burying the Mets in April was an intelligent statement, that is all.Another wrong statement,10x more posts, unreal.

How have you bailed on the Mets??? You have posted on the last 2 pages of this thread 14x. The Mets thread just 5x.
Your are more concerned in making a complete *** of yourself on this thread than discussing the disaster of the 2017 NY Mets. Plus you keep bringing up the same stupid comment about Yankee fans bailing on them last year over and over again when there isn't an ounce of fact in your statement. But that doesn't stop you from being a total idiot. Im not even sure if you are a loyal Mets fan. You are just a Yankee fan hater with zero knowledge of baseball.

When you have the kind of April that the mets had it's easy to see why some of their fans may prefer to hang with Yankees fans here.
1.They played a remarkably easy schedule, with few games vs. any team considered to be one of the better teams in the league.
2.10-14
3.Their best hitter came back too soon from a hamstring injury and is now out for who knows how long.
4.Their best pitcher refused to have an MRI and suffered a serious injury that he won't be back from for a long time....if at all.
All mets fans have to hang onto is "YA GOTTA BELIEVE".
