39-36 at halftime....RU did a great job in the last 5-6 minutes of slowing the pace somewhat, have to keep the game in the 60s to have a chance. Probably RU's best offensive performance of the season, Northwestern cannot shake RU just yet

I'll sign on for that this year. The key is how we open the second half. I like our guard play on offense today.
Best half of the conference season....gotta figure the defense will tighten up....Freeman with not much because foul trouble, Eugene's best game of season so far has helped.
NW is in trouble tonight, they are shooting lights out and only up 3 points at home. RU can get anywhere they want off the dribble and if we keep up the defensive pressure, RU will be in this to the wire.

Amazing that we're in this. Northwestern has to be smelling the dance at this point. They will come out ready to play every night.
Didn't open this until halftime, very funny I've been saying same things as everyone. Announced doesn't know our players, it's very dark in the arena, we're doing great and NW is in trouble shooting great and only up 3. Agree though they will play harder because they smell the dance, crowd attendance shows that.
I dont think Northwestern is in trouble....do you think RU will shoot 50% and make almost 50% on 3s...because they will have to do that to win the game.
Once again the refs are horrible: 8 fouls on NW and only 4 on RU. l....o....l

Game is there to be won. Like how we're playing - have to avoid one of those 5 minute dry spells and for the love of all that is holy, we have to hit some FTs.
NW is in trouble....they are working very hard to defend RU and they must hit shots to stay ahead....
I wish we didn't turn the ball over due to our own fault so much. A culture of winning is so hard to establish, but once we tied it up I said that we have to protect the ball and not think that we can't win this thing. Next thing we do is travel underneath.
We do make some good passes on a back door, but we can't finish because our guys can't adjust the shot when they appear to be cutoff. Then ball either goes back out or there is a TO inside. This is hard to fix because it's instinct that should have been learned 5 years ago in HS.
Even average teams have guys that can execute or at least draw a foul in these situations.

It would help if they didn't refer to one of the top freshmen guards in the country last year as "Johnson."

They are saying the wrong players names. They are saying a guy scores a basket when he's not even on the court. It's been at least 4x already.
