wrong year, mate. 05 most of those guys were unranked. There were 0 four and five stars, so that's why they were so disappointing.

Coaching, Coaching, Coaching pulls it out. Great coaches know how to, "pluck that vital cord!"
Although Jerry Kill was doing it in Minnesota with 2-3 star players, I do not know if his protégée will be able to continue their upward swing.
The beauty of Rutgers is our top players will be plucked away, but what is left are over looked diamonds in the rough who love the game; love Rutgers; and love Jersey; THEY are the ones who will bootstrap our performance on the field with a coach who can inspire.

Midwestern recruiting is weird. The level of ball out here is pretty good and there are clearly D-1 caliber players, but it's harder to get recruited out to big-time programs. While a lot of their success is based on finding sleeper 2 and 3-star kids, a lot more of it is finding the diamonds in Iowa, Nebraska, the Dakotas, Minnesota, etc.
