Remember how the Mike Rice scandal was on every channel every day for a week? When the details come out, if what I am hearing is true, be prepared for more of that, but even worse. Multiple heads will be rolling and could possibly mean no NFL in Carroo's future.

Nope. Just actually heard the exact opposite from inside people. It is also pretty obvious who the team wants vs the fans. There are reasons I'm not disclosing.

In spite of the fact that we all seem to be prepared for something ugly coming down, I suspect that many of us will be shocked when we learn the news. I know that I will.

hoepfully, it's not as bad as I fear, but I can't see how anyone can be shocked anymore.. I have heard nothing but good things about Caroo as a person from those who know him very well, so I am a little surprised there. However, I'm not surprised at all by the other arrests.

Thank god for the Giants collapsing and Thursday night football. Hopefully that will shorten the news cycle. Tara Sullivan had it on the cover of the Record this AM.

Is there any chance the swift punishment of Carroo has to do with him hitting one of these two supposed girls in an altercation?

Wow - this is your first post in over 10 years.....talk about waking sleeping giants - this may be the biggest news of all!!!!! - lol

But, agree it does not look good for Mr. Carroo who I always held in the 'Brian Leonard class' as far as leadership goes. This one shocks and saddens me. Trying to hold off judgement, but not sure what could be said. My guess is he went in for the right reasons, handled it poorly and it spiraled out of control.

My experience with parents is that if they are unhappy with a decision that impacts their kid(s), it is easy to detect. They either say it, show it on their face or in their tone. When it comes to the happiness of kids, parents are not good at concealing their thoughts. They are downright bad at it.

Truly. When I have spoken to player parents, they have been more than happy to share (or at least insinuate) their "concerns" with coaching decisions that they feel impact the team negatively.

Personally, I find it hard to believe there was significant separation between Laviano and Rettig. So the staff went with "greater knowledge of playbook" over "stronger arm." There is obviously room for reasonable minds to disagree, but people suggesting the season would be markedly different with one or the other are, IMO, just blowing hot air.
