Rushing literally by the inch...

DKE didn't like the fact that his thread about sacks got me thinking about how the real issue is the running game. So, in our time of OL despair, to be a nice guy and let DKE get back to discussing the incracracies of sack responsibility, and proving the old cliche that football is a game of inches, I give you the real problem:

We rushed for three-digit INCHES against Wisconsin.

Not yards. Not even feet. Inches. 926 inches. That was our rushing stat.

And that's on top of a stellar 756 inch rushing performance against Duke.

Wake up people! We might be the only P5 team in the entire country to have not one but two rushing performances that didn't crack into 4 digit inches! Frankly, is be surprised if we are not.

It is that bad. Dark ages bad. And I'm not even certain we did this in the Dark Ages.

Yeah, this is Feli. Rote repetition of the same point over and over, bolded text... I'm convinced.

Deny deny deny.

Deflect deflect deflect.

I'm actually sad for you two that you have to ignore what is said instead deflect it to who said it.

What is this, Batman? Trying to figure out who millionaire Bruce Wayne is?

Ok. I'm Feli and Stuper and the Green Hornet and The Shadow and Spider-Man and Jack the Ripper and Turk and Wickerpark and the Ohantom of the Opera --- and for that matter I'm Catgirl too - and you should see me in my tight black latex bodysuit. Happy now?

Can we now address the fact that our staff, according to GCG, apparently hands decisionmaking authority over recruiting to an anonymous college kid? And that we can't run against anybody?

Where did I say I had decisionmaking authority? I played a role in the recruiting process, but not like I was making "offer/don't offer" decisions. Christ, you're ridiculous.

You're counting the sack yardage in our rushing totals, Stupor, which is ironic given the stated purpose of the thread

Well, stop dancing around it and say what was your role was!

What's ridiculous (again, your accusational word, not mine) is how vague you are as you try to imply you had a role but won't say what it was... and then try to play the "experience" and "knowledge" cards.

it makes it hard to believe a word you say, to be honest.

What do you specifically know that all of us regular schmoes don't?

Stop intentionally dancing around it and expecting us to genuflect to you because you once learned the NU athletics filing system. I gave up on the Church. I don't genuflect anymore to anyone without some evidence. Claims don't cut it.

Offensive Quality Control then Recruiting Assistant then promoted to Assistant Director of Player Personnel. This isn't exactly a secret around here.

Great. Thank you. Why do I feel like I just performed a quadruple bypass root canal pulling that out of you? Are you this vague with everyone or did I get some sort of special rookie hazing honor tonight?

Thanks again. You just confirmed my instinct that you're hopelessly biased in favor of this staff.

That's ok. I love my wife and kids. We all have our biases. You and I will not discuss any staff members again. I give you my word on that. It's a waste of both of our time.

Thank god. Have a nice evening being miserable. I'm beginning to understand why you've had to change screen names so often.

He is stupor, Woodersoncat, and ten other names that have been banned. He is now up to banned name number 13.Sorry I was a bit slow to pick up on this one, but I was pretty much away from the board for a couple of weeks due to hurricane evacuation.

Appreciate it. Is there not a way to ban by IP address, credit card, or however else you're determining that it's the same guy?

On the board I mod, I know that we ban specific IP addresess. Don't know if that technology is universal, though....

What was he originally banned for? What crime was committed?

The court seems a bit on the tough side here. Have you no mercy?

Seriously? I may have missed it, but where was he any more insufferable than any of the rest of us schleps on this board? What was the crime for which he has been exiled?

For questioning, rather than agreeing with, the blowhards?

I think there is a written rule, seriously, against hammering the same theme over and over, particularly if negative.

Whereas I gripe bitterly for a day, then make snide comments for a couple of days, then get bored with it.

It's a bunch of college kids that go to a place that I attended in the frikkin 80s, chasing a ball around.

The process I am now going through, adopting a 4 year old whose mom overdosed, is slightly more important. But she is a huge Willie fan...
