Trump radicalized me even further to the fiscal right.
Meh, I'm in a win/win position:

Trump/DOGE use out of the box thinking to reverse the course that America is on fiscally and culturally
or
Trump/DOGE drive us off a cliff and we have to rebuild

I'm prepared for either, but I'm hopeful it's the former

What I won't do is ***** and moan like a teenage girl about it.

Off the board, he's no longer in play.

Does this mean America can only be great again if we continue to spend a shitton of money?

Biden isn't off the Board. He will have to sign it and the Democrat Senate will have to agree.

We get it you're still butthurt Trump won the election and you continue to hold a grudge all while being soft and pretending to support guys like Chip Roy. It's a very passive aggressive approach instead of just admitting you voted for Harris.

You've got to get through the House first. Democrats aren't going to help. You'd better get Roy on board, which means drop the credit limit increase or decrease spending.

Roy should do what he thinks is best. I have no hard feelings towards him and Trump has proven he doesn't hold a grudge.

Rand Paul suggests replacing Mike Johnson with Elon Musk as Speaker of the House

Paul said that 'nothing would disrupt the swamp more than electing Elon Musk' as House speaker

DOGE is rather quiet today. Trump smacked them down, I'm sure.

It's just a matter of time.

Because that's not how it works! The fact that you don't understand is exactly why Dems and Reps continue to increase it. There is NO ceiling. Why can't you get that through your head? It's actually pathetic that you are old enough to vote and don't understand how it works. Shame shame
Ummm......that was my example......I kept "increasing" the limits......(thus, no limit).

So eliminating it completely will only encourage MORE spending, either immediately or the future.

I don't believe this one. Jesse from the top rope. We're screwed.

The new Republican Party welcomes this. He should keep saying what he wants. The good news is he won't have to deal with Harris or old Twitter that would have pulled the plug on him.

Pretty much a win for MAGA any way you try to slice it. GOPe cucks are scared as **** over getting primaried so they'll more easily fall in line. Trump isn't even President yet, but he's driving the bus. Making America Great Again again.

This is the way

Not enough of the Democrats will cross over to support it. They are not allowed to think for themselves.

Let's see. He's a RB, who after his explosive freshman season has been mediocre, not rushing more than 800 yards and averaging only 4.6 yards per carry in his sophomore and junior seasons, behind what many said was the "best OL in the Big 12". How many RB's are in the portal than can put up those numbers? I'll answer for you: A LOT.
The problem is it is much cheaper to retain current players than entice someone from the portal. WVU is looking at a major overhaul at every position and won't have the money to load them all. The more quality current players who stay (which by every definition he is), the better because the funds can be used to target a few special players while the current player hold down the fort.

This says nothing about the work ethic/softness of CJ or anyone else. No one in this thread really know anything about that.

Someone explain this to me in simple terms.

I know what the debt ceiling is, but why is Trump wanting to eliminate it? Wouldn't this allow Congress to borrow whatever/however much they want? I thought that for a long time it was the Democrats who wanted to get rid of it, while Republicans wanted it in place, am I wrong there too?
Pssssstttt.

Trump is an old school democrat. As are some his biggest supporters (Musk, Rogan, Gabbard, RFK).

They are all politicians, both sides only vote for things which will eventually enhance their bank account...
That's a fact. I care about the people and realize I won't get everything I want.

That's why Data Mining is such a big deal. Got to know how to control the sheep to sell a ****** product to them. Imagine not knowing that's been a thing for along time.

The love of money makes people do a lot of strange things I myself don't know how much money is enough and since I have never been a politician I'll never know...

There are some getting involved for the right reasons now. But we will need more in the future to make a difference.

And you, as usual, miss my point. You don't see a little conflict of interest here?

The Government paid him for a service that they feelt was important and cheaper than having the Government do it. They also feelt he was the best one to accomplish their goals. He works for Trump. He will do as Trump requests or he won't be around long.

Corrupt Democrats and RINOS crying because they don't want to held accountable isn't going to change that.

Again......you miss the point. The government ALSO pays others to do services. What if he (Musk) determines a competitor is "wasteful" while his business isn't? Conflict of interest .

You seem to be the one missing the point and it's the same reason why MSM is suffering. If this was the only place that people got their information then what you are attempting to do might work. But it's not so you look like you are attempting to gaslight people.

Musk will work for Trump. Trump was elected. He will take the recommendations then work with Congress and the Senate to get things done.

Musk is giving an opinion and nothing more. He has no real authority and Democrats and RINOS are crying because they don't want anyone focusing on them.

I fully support ‘s Massie’s approach in this.

Also, hearing Reps rail against oversite from the people is amazing. I fvcking love every thing about Musk blowing up that deal. The old ways will not longer work, you are accountable to us, not your trained bitches in trad media.

It is a potential conflict of interest. If that situation arises, we will have to see what happens.

The job inherently creates a conflict of interest for nearly every person who takes it. It is no different than the potential conflict of interest law enforcement officers have when it comes to their kids committing crimes or that FBI agents have when their political opposition is in power. The nature of a lot of government jobs creates a potential conflict of interest for anyone taking the job and this is no different.
