Name one who would have told them to pound sand .
They all are constantly running a campaign. Term limits is the only way to stop the stupid on both sides. Trump can't Biden didn't...
Trump is no savior but 100 times better than the alternative. If you think anyone that was running in the primary would have pushed to stop this CR you crazy .

moe and CR are perfectly happy with the novel that the GOP wrote, where 8 pages was all that was necessary. It's not the same argument at all. If you're not smart enough to understand the difference between a liberal argument and a conservative argument, go back to Facebook, you have work to do.

Listen, I don't know what happened during the primaries, but you've gone off the rails since then. It's no skin off my back, it's just a fact.

I only became aware of the shitshow that a left of center Trump administration is.

Pretty much all of MAGA is fed up with the status quo. Pissing on Trump who's trying to fight back is counter productive. Did you really think the GOPe was just gonna roll over? Did you think that in fighting wouldn't occur? Did you think that ideological purity over the short term is going to move us forward?

I think what I've always thought, The System fears whatever it is that Trump is enough to steal an election and assassinate him to prevent a second term. For the moment, that's good enough for me.

Life comes at you fast.

Looks like Trump and company put a stop to the pork laden CR you were crying about.

I’ll look forward to your post celebrating his leadership, even though he’s not the current President, to kill it.

I’m guessing Johnson was told that he would lose the speakership unless he pulled that CR bill.
I hope Johnson learns that he’s there to fight for MAGA and not to capitulate to Dems.

A statement from President Donald J. Trump and Vice President-Elect JD Vance:

The most foolish and inept thing ever done by Congressional Republicans was allowing our country to hit the debt ceiling in 2025. It was a mistake and is now something that must be addressed.

Meanwhile, Congress is considering a spending bill that would give sweetheart provisions for government censors and for Liz Cheney. The bill would make it easier to hide the records of the corrupt January 6 committee—which accomplished nothing for the American people and hid security failures that happened that day. This bill would also give Congress a pay increase while many Americans are struggling this Christmas.

Increasing the debt ceiling is not great but we’d rather do it on Biden’s watch. If Democrats won’t cooperate on the debt ceiling now, what makes anyone think they would do it in June during our administration? Let’s have this debate now. And we should pass a streamlined spending bill that doesn’t give Chuck Schumer and the Democrats everything they want.

Republicans want to support our farmers, pay for disaster relief, and set our country up for success in 2025. The only way to do that is with a temporary funding bill WITHOUT DEMOCRAT GIVEAWAYS combined with an increase in the debt ceiling. Anything else is a betrayal of our country…

Trump and Vance aren't even on the same page. This is going to be fun, and he hasn't even taken office yet.

After reading through this thread you seem to be the only one who doesn't understand what's really going on. But thanks for taking time away from holding the rope on the Blue Lot to show everyone you can't let go of that grudge against Trump. It doesn't make you look like you are having Mental Health issues at all.

I'm not on the Blue Lot, I'm not holding the rope.

He claims he doesn't read the Blue Lot. We all know that's ********. He doesn't seem like the type to miss all the drama and information about the new Coaching Staff and Transfer Portal. That roller-coaster of insanity is right up his alley.

Invested lots of money in Doomsday Prepper products thinking that Biden/Kamala would get re-elected. However, Trump won and is going to MAGA so his investment is not needed right now

That's not true at all. It's as necessary next year as it is today, and was a year ago. Until spending is under control, we are in danger. Hell, our credit rating is probably at about a 500 score right now, and this CR would've put it at about 450.

Strange thing being that a yet to be President has so much influence over the present house & senate...

Someone go wake up the current President then. Shutting down the Government until Trump is sworn in wouldn't be the end of the world. It's just a few weeks.

CJ is gone, the whole offensive line, we wish the whole defense stayed in Dallas, but only a few have declared so far. College is worse than the NFL, college has essentially a 1 year contract. I'm not going to waste my time learning about college kids who probably won't be around in another year's time.

Let's see. He's a RB, who after his explosive freshman season has been mediocre, not rushing more than 800 yards and averaging only 4.6 yards per carry in his sophomore and junior seasons, behind what many said was the "best OL in the Big 12". How many RB's are in the portal than can put up those numbers? I'll answer for you: A LOT.

Someone explain this to me in simple terms.

I know what the debt ceiling is, but why is Trump wanting to eliminate it? Wouldn't this allow Congress to borrow whatever/however much they want? I thought that for a long time it was the Democrats who wanted to get rid of it, while Republicans wanted it in place, am I wrong there too?

They are trying to pass one with a bunch of pork in it. Trump is saying no. Pass a bare minimum one and get to work after the New Congress is sworn on a balanced budget.
