No. Congress did.

No. Congress did

Maybe. Maybe not? They're unsourced and can't be cross referenced against other sources for their accuracy.
1. Trump signature (if a POTUS is against, they can veto and make Congress override veto....Trump didn't)
2. Trump signature
3. Post your numbers and we'll compare.

No, you are a hypocrite and a blaspheme. And it's all saved. At least I know that killing someone, or wishing someone to kill someone, is not Christ like. You did that, not me.

You still didn't post the correct numbers? And nobody came to your defense.

Point. Set . Match.
I posted that quip tongue in cheek to prove a point to your dumb *** that the President cannot force Congress to accept his budgets. You appear to suggest Trump both did nothing to cut deficit spending and refused to fight for his budgets clearly requesting cuts in deficit spending. If Congress doesn't agree with him, what was he supposed to do? I suggested he just kill his detractors which I suppose would satisfy your pre requisites but it clearly was suggested as a joke and you've got your panties all stained because you're too stupid to catch my point.

Now honestly I'm done with you. I find you intensely entertaining yet disgustingly annoying all wrapped in one nice Leftist Burrito. You give me heartburn, but you do taste good while I'm chewing you up!😉

One last question for you before I log off. Did you present research papers in College without footnoting your cited sources? Tell the Truth or you're not as Christian as you once claimed to me you were.

God Bless you.

Now you are swearing. Again, not very Christian-like....and on a Sunday of all days.

And if you "chewed me up", that would mean that you posted numbers refuting the ones I posted. You didn't, and we both know why.

This isn't a research methods class. You don't need to post sources, and quite frankly, my numbers are easy to find.

EDIT: If you want to attack my "non-sourcing", then provide the numbers with a source that show the numbers are false.

And Trump's SIGNATURE is on those budgets. With a smile, and a quote saying that they were "victories" for the American people. He not only approved them, but supported them.

So are your sources.

Fact: Trump both presented and fought for deficit reductions. No he didn't get everything he requested but that blame goes to the spend thrifts in Congress not his refusal to address the issue as YOU falsely suggested.

Fact: These deficits are not caused by tax cuts, or Trump's success implementing them. As my sourced and linked content clearly demonstrates, tax revenues actually increased with every tax cut enacted, including Trump's record tax cuts. Congress instead of using the surpluses generated by those tax cuts, spent them, then spent beyond those surpluses into deficits.

Fact: Trump both proposed and argued for cuts in entitlement spending as I also sourced and linked ITT. Congress (Democrats and Republicans) refused to adopt his proposals and Democrats used his initiatives to accuse him of gutting entitlements many American rely on which was a lie which my sourced and linked content also clearly demonstrated.

Fact: Trump both supported and called for a Balanced budget ammendment to force Congress to stay within its financial limits in terms of the revenues collected by the treasury. My sourced and linked content explained that, and who opposed his efforts to introduce a measure of forced fiscal discipline into our annual budgeting.

Now to me those were the essential arguments in our scrum and I both presented my sourced and linked content backing my claims, which refuted your assertions that Trump was both responsible for these deficits and did nothing to stop them by signing the deficit spending Congress approved in direct opposition to his proposals.

There was noting else this scrum was about except your intractable TDS, and your refusal to accept that you were proven wrong on each and every point you accused Trump of. That was refuted with sourced and linked content none of which you successfully refuted with sourced and linked content of your own!

All facts, all easy to see for anyone desperate enough to read all of this tripe. You're exhausting.

That burrito sure tasted good, but I regret eating it now because I not only have heartburn but diahrrea digesting it! 🤣

You forgot to address that Trump signed the spending bills. His SIGNATURE is his support. Why not address that? He easily could have vetoed it. FORCED Congress to override it, and put the blame on them. Instead, he took CREDIT for it on social media.

Ask your wife.

Those numbers?
Now you're showing what an absolute reprobate you are while accusing me of blashpheming. Remember those 10 Commandments you posted earlier ITT? Did you actually you read them? Which one warns you against bearing false witness?

You don't even freakin' know my Wife's name yet you suggest you know who I slept with behind her back, and you promised to show up in Morgantown with that proof? To this day I detest you for standing up me and my Sons who were waiting patiently for you to show up outside MPS as we had agreed and your lying coward *** never showed up! Punk.

I swear it enrages me to this day what an absolute degenerate you were accusing me of something you had no proof of, never presented any evidence of, refused to provide names for and then chickened out after promising to meet me personally to make your case.

The best thing I ever did was forgive you for your lying and Pray for your darkened Soul because as Almighty God as my witness, I wanted to wring your lying red neck over that caca!

Now you have the unmitigated gall after all that to admonish me to go ask my Wife who I was sleeping with when you couldn't let her in on your exclusive information you claimed to have yourself?

I'll have to quote Jesus my Lord and Savior here to keep from cursing your lying tongue out on this forum:

"Get behind me Satan"

Now you go to Hell. That's very "Christian" BTW because that's exactly where you're going to end up if you don't repent from your lying ways.

What "numbers" are you waiting on? I gave you Trump's proposals to cut deficits. I gave you his proposals on cutting entitlements. I gave you his proposal to balance the budget to force Congress to stop deficit spending.

There wasn't anything else I was arguing with you on. You went off on these Democrat vs Republican spending numbers which quite frankly had nothing to do with what we were discussing about Trump and his role in these deficits. Yes he signed deficits into Law, just like every President has done. Big whoop. They (Congress) could have also adopted his spending proposals but unfortunately they didn't.

He can't force them to override a Presidential veto no more than they can force him to accept all of their deficit spending. So they compromised and gave him his tax cuts and some spending cuts, while he signed their deficit spending into Law. That's just how it works in divided Government.

You're blaming him for these deficits and I'm blaming Congress for passing them. He can't refuse to sign spending legislation into Law, and those weren't his numbers he signed but he did sign them. Yes he can attempt a Veto, but then what? If it's not sustained, its meaningless. That doesn't make him solely responsible for the deficits yet that's precisely what you're inaccurately suggesting because he simply signed what Congress passed.

He'll get a "do over" once he's reelected and I expect this time around he'll have a Hell of wind behind him backing his efforts to get this deficit nonsense under control. I hope so because we're flat broke and 33 trillion in debt and if we don't get it fixed I shudder to think what comes next?

Now I'm going to ask you once again to please stop posting me. Our conversations go nowhere. We're both stubborn and we both think we're right and I'm on the Right and stubborn and you're on the Left and just as stubborn so we're never going to see eye to eye on anything. It's best to just leave it at that because I really don't like you. You're an inveterate liar as well as wrong in your arguments so what's the point engaging you?

Just leave me alone and I promise I'll return the favor.

Haha. Are you 12?

The POTUS most certainly can veto and he can then make Congress debate more or override his veto. You know Trump and his actions. If he doesn’t approve of something, he 1) sure as hell won’t agree to it and 2) won’t take credit for it. And he did BOTH.

I may tell an exaggeration here or there, but lie? Nope. Stubborn? Maybe.

You don’t like me? Like that matters to me? You kept replying to me. Unlike you, I don’t care to go back and forth. You turned this in to a “plagiarism” game like you were my senior English teacher when I was in high school. You half heartedly admitted Trump signed deficit spending budget yet claim he will be fiscally responsible?

And I posted the Republican vs. Democrat numbers because it was 100% relevant. It goes to show that while Republicans campaign on spending responsible and the economy, the numbers just don’t back them up. It’s called PROOF.

OK. So explain to me why they (your "fiscally reponsible" Democrats) consistently refuse to agree to a Balanced Budget ammendment?

How do I know? I’m for balancing the budget. Like Clinton did. Hell I think even GW Bush did once. Your guy promises to, never does, and takes credit for it, then cries about it and gets you all to believe it again. Got to give him credit. He knows you all will fall in love with whatever he says, knowing it’s false. And get you all to defend him by making excuses when he had the authority to say “no”, but didn’t. Could have forced Congress to take the blame for it. But no. Instead he knew you all would just provide the”he had no choice” excuse for him. He’s playing you all. He’s been doing this for decades.

It doesn't matter Dude. Trump's going to beat the pants off whoever the rudderless Democrat party nominates. I don't think it'll be Biden but I don't care who it is because they will lose to Trump. Maybe you should just sit this one out since you don't have a candidate?

That's interesting but I'm not sure he's familiar with or even aware of what you presented here as much as his method of debate reflects many of those tactics.

What he and the rest of the Left attempt is not only dishonest but diabolical. He suggests Republicans making honest attempts to responsibly cut deficit spending are equally to blame for our failure to stop it! I call it the "everybody does it defense". It essentially argues that any lack of success attempting to correct a problem means you are now equally responsible for the problem you failed to correct!

It does sound a bit like that "rules for radicals" memo you posted, but in my mind it's a disingenuous attempt to absolve Democrats for their consistent failure to join Republicans in their honest efforts to stop the taxing and deficit spending! Since Republicans can't force Democrats to agree to their proposals to cut taxes and spending, Democrats turn around and blame Republicans instead of themselves.

So in effect all the Left has to do is dig in their heels, refuse to offer solutions, then blame Republicans for their inability to move the needle. It's a clever but diabolical strategy, because it lacks an end game winner to solve the problem while at the same time declaring it essentially unsolvable simply by way of their continuing intransigence!

That's what @MountaineerWV does when he claims Trump signed deficit legislation, while he completley ignores the valid attempts Trump made asking Congress to address the issue....through tax cuts, spending restraint, entitlement reforms and a balanced budget ammendment. Each and every one of those initiatives Democrats blocked and refused to participate in all the while blaming Trump for his inability to force them to join him. Disgusting.

The only way to stop these deficits is to stop spending money we don't have, grow the economy and use the surpluses generated from a growing economy to pay down the debt while we continue to reduce government spending and make it illegal to spend no more than we take in. There is no other way to fix this problem, yet the Left refuses to acknowledge that or participate in any of those honest efforts to solve it.

All they ever offer are more false promises of higher taxes and even more spending. That formula is exactly why we're in this mess and they are 100% disinterested in doing anything other than that to fix it. He proved that through his twisted logic trying to suggest it's actually Democrats who have been more responsible spending and taxing less than Republicans when in fact they have been in direct opposition to all of that for as long as I have been voting.

Beyond that I just don't like the guy. ITT I called him an inveterate liar which is demonstrably true. Debating with him is like tooth extraction because he wants to discuss why you have 10 cavitites instead of concentrating on getting the one aching tooth out? He throws in extraneous arguments tangential but not specific to any point in discussion, then gets you chasing the shiny object off point while never responding to the actual point you're attempting to make with him!

For instance I responded directly to his assertion that Trump "didn't attempt to force Congress to balance the budget" by linking him to Trump's balanced budget initiative. He glosses right over that, and then draws up unsourced historical spending between previous Democrat vs Republican administrations which has zero to do with how I responded to his assertion about Trump and then refuted it.

Because Congress never adopted a balanced budget ammendment, he blames Trump for the deficit spending they did send him instead because Trump signed it! I suppose in his mind Trump should have held out for either a balanced budget or perhaps even changing the Constitution before signing the fiscal year's spending Congress approved? It's a cheap and dishonest way to debate, even though he was fully aware of Trump's serious efforts to cut spending and end deficits, while accusing him of not being serious doing anything about it! Dishonest and disingenuous debate.

That's how he is and how frustrating debate with him can be. He never answers questions directly, never responds on point when challenged and always deflects to other arguments trying to force agreement on his terms which often have nothing to do with points under discussion.

It's the main reason I try avoiding engaging him whenever he pops into a thread accusing Republicans of everything he ignores on the Left. That's what they do. Accuse you of who they are, or find fault in you while they freely practice what they accuse you of.

He's nauseating.

.

Using your logic, what would you say about this?

The six bankruptcies were the result of over-leveraged hotel and casino businesses in Atlantic City and New York: Trump Taj Mahal (1991), Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino (1992), Plaza Hotel (1992), Trump Castle Hotel and Casino (1992), Trump Hotels and Casino Resorts (2004), and Trump Entertainment Resorts (2009).

I guess, using your logic, the man behind these businesses is a piss poor business owner and operator.
Yet the banks got paid and want to continue doing business with this owner. MMMmmmmm..

Exactly. It's a failed analogy because not all of Trump's businesses went bankrupt! Yet none of those Baltimore kids had minimum graduation skills, they all were failing! So the analogy misses the mark both by comparison and by end results. Most of Trump's business ventures were wildly successful. None of those Baltimore kids were. Not one. Tragic.

Glad you’re finally tired of it as well

Finally? I have spoke out on wasting money and corruption numerous times. That doesn't mean we need to completely isolate ourselves and not help anyone. However we have alot of issues here to fix before we keep handing out "assistance" to everyone else.

We can barely afford the interest payments on all the "charity".

Finally? I have spoke out on wasting money and corruption numerous times. That doesn't mean we need to completely isolate ourselves and not help anyone. However we have alot of issues here to fix before we keep handing out "assistance" to everyone else.

We can barely afford the interest payments on all the "charity".

We shouldn’t be helping anyone since we’re in enormous debt.

Disgusting.

Nauseating is trying to read your rambling over and over again.

1. Trump signed the bill
2. Doesn't matter what he "wanted" to do, he approved it. How did Clinton balance the budget? By playing hardball with Congress and failing to sign their budget until he accomplished his goal. It worked.
3. Trump could have used his Constitutional power to veto, force the bill back to Congress, organize his Republican Party (who had the majority) to balance the budget, and get a new budget bill. He CHOSE not to. Instead, he signed it and bragged about it afterwards. THOSE ARE FACTS.

You also left out how you implied that Trump should "execute" those that disagree with him. Yeah, you claim it was a "tongue in cheek" moment after the fact. During today's dangerous times, not a move I would think a true "Christian" like yourself would do........

You excuse everything Trump has done that was bad. I bet you believe it was his wive's fault that he cheated on them, too. Ahh, birds of a feather......flock together.

You are the one that should be careful about accusing others of "lying". [thumbsup]
