But it’s not, if one believes life begins at conception. It’s not that person’s body, it’s another human life. No different than charging for murder of a pregnant mother loses her child in a DUI.
If that is really what people believe, why aren't we arguing that Americans at 17 years, 3 months are old enough to vote? Or able to drive at 15 years, 3 months? Why don't we factor in our womb months for social security? Why aren't the unborn a tax dedcuction?

Funny how some rights for the unborn have never been important enough to consider.

Some do believe just that. That life begins with that embryo.

There is a point however where a difference exists between a few cells or an embryo and a baby that has a developed organs. How and where we define that difference is the question.

Right. So then lets define it before wasting everyone's time on such a stupid issue.

Peaceful proetest, riot, insurrection...We just change the definition of **** just to argue.

I mean, that’s kind of what the legislative process at the state level is doing, right?

It's a beautiful day in America. State's now have the rightful authority under the constitution of the United States of America to ban the murder of innocent babies.

President Donald J Trump's legacy as POTUS continues to be a beacon of freedom across this glorious land.

Thank you POTUS. Thank you for putting justices on the court that adhere to the rule of law.

It's also a great day because @moe, @bamaEER @Soaring Eagle 74 and @eers2014 are significantly triggered.

Now my fear is that the left will ATTACK democratic institutions and insurrect various federal and state buildings. Frankly, I am terrified and disgusted at what they are starting to do.

The American people will prevail though. In the end, Love wins and good always prevails.

Let Freedom Ring.
The only insurrection that went on was by those at Donald Trump’s rally. They lost and democracy won.

It’s crazy, the country would’ve been better off had it succeeded instead of the Dem incompetent’s running us into the ditch.

It's been defined. Casey established in 1989 that personhood is granted to the fetus after 6 weeks.

I believe life begins at the point of conception. For legal sakes call it 6 weeks then .
Funny how a one cell on Mars is considered life ....Democrats make the best word salads

I'm back to the amendment. As soon as the court flips again they'll revert abortion the other way. We need to preempt it.

Outstanding, my grandaddy always used an open site .22 for squirrels, also. Man rarely missed and was in his early 80's.

Hmmm....

Yet the same government hasn't issued the fetuses social security numbers or allow the "parents" tax deductions for the personhood. I am certain that whenever you have been asked your age, you never gave it as 6 weeks after your mom got knocked up.

We just change definitions of simple concepts to suit our needs.

Sounds insurrection-y

Why aren't Leftists like Maxine Waters and Elizabeth Warren who respectively are calling the Supreme Court "illegitimate" and/or vowing to defy it not being accused of sedition? Suppose the rulings had gone the other way on gun control and abortion, and we had Ron Desantis or even Trump out there saying "to Hell with the Supreme court, we will defy them". Think the media would be ignoring what they said?

Democrats would be screaming for Gov DeSantis to be censured or re-called, and they'd probably try to impeach Trump again even though he's out of office!

Frauds.

No expectant mother (who actually is proud of that and wants the child) tells her Family or friends she's going to have a "fetus".

"Oh honey guess what?"

"Yes Dear?"

"I just found out I'm pregnant....we're going to have a FETUS...isn't that great?"

I think we should change the name of OB-GYNs to "Fetalcologists" instead of "Gynecologists"...since we're so obsessed over what we should call a developing unborn baby?

Or we refuse to recognize obvious facts to suit our desires. A developing Baby, while perhaps unwanted is still nevertheless alive and human. NOT some worthless "clump of cells" or a "Jellyfish" to be vacuumed up like a piece of trash.

Semantics. Why isn't a 4 year Med student considered a Doctor? Why isn't a para-legal called an Attorney? Why can't College rookie QBs be called Veterans in football and start on most NFL rosters? Just because one is developing doesn't mean they can automatically be granted full position status.

My new house when it was being built wasn't assessed property taxes, but it was still my home was it not? Thanksgiving dinner baking in the oven isn't ready to be served but it's still dinner everyone's gathering for correct?

That's a specious argument, used by Pro Aborts to justify murder.

Actually there isn't. A tree seed isn't a tree, but everything that tree will be is in that seed. Likewise a developing embryo isn't a fully formed Baby, no more than a new born girl is a woman. However everything that woman will be that little Baby girl is. No difference whatsoever. Everything just hasn't been developed yet.

Can you imagine how cute she must have been as a little Baby? Hubba...hubba!!!!!

Right, said pregnoid is going to have a baby. That is future tense. The pregnoid currently has a fetus or zygote, by definition.

You can call the fetus a giraffe for all I care. That doesn't make it a giraffe.

Just because one is developing doesn't mean they can automatically be granted full position status.
Exactly. Just because zygotes, embryos and fetuses are developing, doesn't mean they can automatically be granted full position status as a human being.

Well if they aren't "human" what are they? Their DNA makes them human, it doesn't make them Fish.
Follow the science

excerpt
Here's what science tells us about the unborn.

Four characteristics of the unborn human (the zygote, embryo, or fetus) are important:

Distinct. The unborn has a DNA and body distinct from her mother and father. She develops her own arms, legs, brain, nervous system, heart, and so forth.

Living. The unborn meets the biological criteria for life. She grows by reproducing cells. She turns nutrients into energy through metabolism. And she can respond to stimuli.

Human. The unborn has a human genetic signature. She is also the offspring of human parents, and humans can only beget other humans.

Organism. The unborn is an organism (rather than a mere organ or tissue)—an individual whose parts work together for the good of the whole. Guided by a complete genetic code (46 chromosomes), she needs only the proper environment and nutrition to develop herself through the different stages of life as a member of the species.

Because your date of birth is the day you were born, not the day you were conceived. You existed and you were still you when you were conceived, you just weren't born.

Just like you knew how to drive a car before you were licensed to do so, you just weren't licensed to drive one yet legally.

"said pregnoid" is pregnant with a Baby, not a Girraffe.

Thank you for not killing me Momma Girraffe.

You are correct! They are NOT granted full position status as a fully developed human being. (for obvious reasons) Yet it cannot be denied scientifically or morally that they are fully human.

A rational perspective that hopefully settles the argument for you?

excerpt:
Certainly, a baby is still a baby the day before it is born, but what about the day before that? What line can we draw that separates infanticide from choices that simply regard one’s own body?
Soroush Dabbagh, a writer for the Journal of Medical Ethics and History of Medicine, points out that there is no ontological change (that is, change in being) between a four-week-old embryo and a 36-week-old fetus. He argues that the organism that is growing to be a baby becomes bigger and more complicated and begins to look more similar to what we consider a person, which evokes emotional response in individuals, causing them to show more care for the safety of the fetus. However, he says, there is no true difference in being that can justify an outlook considering one stage of development’s life as more valuable than another.

..more
Writing for the Charlotte Lozier Institute, Dr. Condic explains that shortly after conception, the entity formed by the sperm and the egg meets the criteria of the definition for an organism, as opposed to a cell.

She says, “Importantly, the cells, tissues and organs produced during development do not somehow ‘generate’ the embryo (as if there were some unseen, mysterious ‘manufacturer’ directing this process), they are produced by the embryo as it directs its own development to more mature stages of human life. This organized, coordinated behavior of the embryo is the defining characteristic of a human organism.” The definition specifies that organisms that meet the criteria are living beings; therefore, in this circumstance, human beings.

I didn't ask about one's date of birth; rather how old you are. You, like everyone else on the planet, will answer it based on your date of birth, but you are arguing you are actually alive longer.

Why don't fetus have social security numbers? Why don't they qualify for tax dependents for the parents? It seems everyone is ok treating fetuses as non-humans except for this issue. It is a farce.

I think what everyone is missing here isn’t about the religious aspect at all. And it is most importantly not the viewpoint of the SCOTUS ruling. Their ruling is based on the constitution only. The constitution was written with one thing predominantly in it and that is everything is about states rights first and foremost. The scotus recognized their mistake by even hearing and ruling on it to begin with with Roe v Wade. All they’re saying is, it’s not our call. Nothing has been overturned except the requirement it is a constitutional right. Anyone can still get an abortion, but it’s gonna be up to each state. If it is not permitted, then go protest at that state Capitol. The scotus is only saying they don’t have an opinion because constitutionally, it’s not their place to decide.

Couldn't care less about religion or the Supreme's decision.

I'm pro-death, particularly when you review the demographics of the people utilizing abortions the most. They are exactly the people who shouldn't be procreating.

The planet has a population issue. The human race is rapidly increasing and at some point, humans will require more resources than this planet can provide. Something has to give for the benefit of mankind. Hard drugs, suicide, abortions, all help with that ultimate issue.
