How many Hispanics are there in WV.. what percentage of the population are they? What percentage of the students are they?

Since SGA is elected (though usually with significant Greek influence) it is what it is... I don't think you can contrive the result through manipulation.

On the other hand to the extent WVU continues to NOT reflect the demographic population of WV and it's views it will further fuel the argument that Morgantown is NOT representing what the taxpayers who pay for it want it to reflect. Those taxpayers are going to be less and less inclined to fund it.

I just don't see why their sex or race matters. The students elected who they wanted. Good for them. What does being a female or Hispanic or Jewish or Armenian haveto do with any of it? They are not the first women. Not the first minorities. They won't be the last. I don't see the big deal unless we just want to continue to thrust race and gender into every facet of life only to then pretend there is inequality.

Thanks. That gives it some context. Yeah, I'd be pissed too.
Not sure it addressed the theme of this thread, I hope not. Sex, race or any other identifier should not have mattered in any election. I just wanted to point out they were not the next (name your favorite politico).

WV is one of the oldest states in the US. How can you expect a college campus to be representative of that?

Let's be honest - I don't think the SGA does very much so this is a huge nothing-burger in the scheme of things.
