That may be exactly, what will happen. I believe(and please correct me), Dr. Fauci-whether you like him or not, is not sure how long the vaccines will provide immunity once developed.
I’m indifferent on him but he sure gets enough wrong

The man gets a lot of flack, but he usually had the opinion reflecting the best science at the time. People don't seem to understand that this is a new virus that is acting in a very unique way. We've never really seen a virus like this that causes both pulmonary and vascular issues in such a severe way. It's all new science. The unexpected will continue to pop up.

Maybe that should tell you something about the “best science ay the time.” Which is starting to mean less and less

Incorrect. It gets better day by day. It takes time to get the best evidence and elucidate the best methods. I get that it's frustrating for the general public that the experts don't get it right the first time. But there is a lot about this bug that is new. No amount of expertise could have prepared them for it. It's like being put in a maze and criticizing the person stuck in it for not choosing the correct path perfectly the first time.

CDC says they are surveying my neighborhood tomorrow door to door... Gonna be fun to run em off my property
Good lord lol. Please don’t shoot at em sir. You have a family to support and hopefully some home WVU football games to attend in the Fall.

That'll show em.

Of course, they're only trying to do their job in handling a worldwide pandemic, but screw that, it's your property, and you shouldn't have to put up with that ****.

Brazil had over 55,000 new cases yesterday.

That is a shocking number.

They might wind up passing the US by the time this is over. Keep in mind it's now Winter there right now. It's going to get very ,very bad there. If they don't get this under control in the Southern hemisphere, it will be almost impossible to stop a second wave in the fall unless draconian measures are taken by border security.
has there ever been a better argument for "the wall"? I bet liberals and leftist will line up now to help secure our border.....yep

This really doesn't have much to do with a wall or limiting immigration. Most people that come into the US do so for purposes of legitimate trade and tourism. An actual hard line restriction on all international travel would be devastating to the economy.

Well the “legitimate” travel has been addressed with travel bans. Thankfully we are addressing the”illegitimate” travel with the wall. If thousands of infected immigrants were crossing out southern border it would be a disaster. I am sure you are happy people are not entering our country unfettered with possible CV19 without a barrier to allow us to test them first.

I don't know which morons to which you're referring, because quite frankly, there's a bunch out there on "both" sides, but your response made me think of this...

Yea...the wall. Like the ones in NYC where rich liberals put up to keep the great unwashed out. Except they call them doormen. Nancy Pelosi actually put up a real wall cause she doesn’t live in a high rise bldg. but tells us regular people it is a bad thing....weird

Or Pink Floyd’s signature album....

Obviously you're the Douche since you can't take your right wing BS to the "OFF TOPIC" board where it's supposed to be posted. Blue Lot is for Mountaineer sports not your political ********.
The original message was about potential bias in the positive test counts, obviously you can't comprehend that. Thus your equally a douche.

Speaking of The Wall, has anyone ever listened to Dark Side of the Moon while watching The Wizard of Oz? Pretty crazy stuff.

they have.
Had beers last night with the guy in charge of medical logistics for Novant. He just got a 500,000 square foot warehouse to hold excess PPE.

He's gone from 1.5 million square feet of warehouse space pre Covid to 2.5 million.

Yeah, they are stocking up.

Has nothing to do with what I originally posted. A wall is stupid. The fact leftists can afford them and right wing nuts need guns is a whole other issue.

I bet if a great angry horde of illegal, COVID riddled, right wing Trumpers were crossing our southern border by the millions you would be for a wall....lol

But science! Another conspiracy theory-fact check, true.

That's just the real time tests. Those were never considered to be ery accurate. I knew some folks who were doing those weekly required by their work. If anyone popped positive, they were sent for a lab test then home pending those results.

But the CDC and the FDA said they were accurate.

But the CDC and the FDA said they were accurate.

I never heard the 97% accuracy stat for the rapid test. Maybe I missed that when they came out. I heard studies shortly after they came out that put the accuracy potentially as low as 55%-ish. Of folks who used them, I had not heard of an example where a positive rapid test was not verified by the more standard lab test. I'm not saying that my experience represents a large sample size.
