that this squad lacks talent, do you still stand by those statements and if not...why not?
Good day today. Let’s keep it moving that way.that this squad lacks talent, do you still stand by those statements and if not...why not?
Why don't I go eat some hay. I can make things out of clay, or lay by the bay, I just may. Whaddya say?Good day today. Let’s keep it moving that way.
Okay. I'll play. Bucky can't say-he was happy today. Why don't I go eat some hay. I can make things out of clay, or lay by the bay, I just may. Whaddya say?
I stand by the fact that Neal Brown is a major step up from the former staff.
1000 times this.
This to me is a hard question. I just believe that a coache's teaching technique has a lot to do with how a player reacts and performs. Particularly true for those who have talent that's there but hidden a bit below the surface.that this squad lacks talent, do you still stand by those statements and if not...why not?
I will actually agree with you on this. Only because you're approaching objectivity, though.Long long way to go for anyone to make such claims. One decent win against an unranked opponent doesnt make him better in any regard

What if the bottom falls out.
Some of the things Bucky says is correct. Plus all those programs like Penn State, Pitt, Boston College, Syracuse and Miami.
They aren't as good now as they were 25-30 years ago.
That could be WVU. We make fun of programs like Texas Tech, Kansas State, Iowa State and even....Kansas.
What if that is WVU in 5-10 years. Who is to say WVU deserves to be a Top 15 team. Dana had us there a few times.
Be careful what you wish for because playing musical chairs could give us a bad seat or maybe two or three.
Not saying Neal Brown is that but Dana wasn't as bad as some of you want to make him out to be.
NC State's first road game with a young QB helped.
Plus Missouri forced us to get better and now we forced NC State to get better.
You have to be close to an elite team to run WVU off the field in WV.
I stand by the fact that Neal Brown is a major step up from the former staff.
Dana couldn't finish a season on top. Lost 3 straight at the end of the season in 2017, 2018. Was picked by many to finish #2 in 2012 and 2018 and some had him winning the conference. Neal Brown might do the same. Dana may not of been as bad as we thought but he also wasn't as good as most are saying. He's just above average like most coaches at WVU end up being.
There's nothing to support this being a step up.
Holgorsen wasn't getting blown out by unranked teams
There's nothing to support this being a step up.
Holgorsen never had WVU anywhere close to the dregs like Brown did in just two games for rushing nationally or offense nationally.
Brown's defenses and special teams haven't been all that different either--Holgorsen wasn't getting blown out by unranked teams like Missouri with only 30 yds rushing and numerous turnovers.
Holgorsen won lots and lots of games for WVU--many against ranked opponents, many more against teams as good as NC State was.
He improved players in season and over the duration of time in the new conference he had to move WVU into.
This week they'll move into the brutal conference schedule where there are no gimme's and we will see just how easy it is to win in the conference--so many right here still claimed any coach in America could step right in and do it--so expect at least 8 wins this year based on that repeated claim.
Dana gets blamed for not winning but those are by the people who through he was going to win the Big 12 his first season.
That disappointment stuck and if you combined that with his second year most didn't think he would ever win the Big 12.
Fast forward to Neal Brown. People think Neal Brown is going to win the Big 12. Maybe not this year or next but sometime. There isn't any proof that Neal can and winning the conference shouldn't determined if he is a good coach or not. Thing is if we do keep a good coach around WVU could win the Big 12. In reality WVU can stay in this conference for the next 30 years and we will never win this conference in consecutive years. Just won't happen. WVU could win this conference if a program and identity is established. Dana had one that could be competitive. Let us see with Neal.
Top 15 recruiting classes stacked on each other or WVU isn’t winning anything relevant
Mic drop
There you go again blaming someone other than Dana. If you would have given anything to have Koenning here while Dana was here then why didn't he go out and get someone like that. The assistants he hires is on him. Dana was more interested in hiring his drinking buddies like Joe deforest and that bum wickline who got fired at Texas. How are things going for Dana in Houston?Holgorsen is #2 in wins at WVU with recruiting classes outside the top 25. Call me when Brown beats that and then we "nail" the fact this staff is a step up.
I will say this. I would given anything to have Koenning here while Dana was.

Greg everyone knows that Richard and Townesvanzandt are the same person. I know for a fact his mother told me so. I know his mother real well but I shouldn't be bragging about that. Everyone in our town knows his mother real wellAre you Texass?
Richard since were on the topic of Elite. It doesn't take and elite mind to figure out that you and Townesvanzandt are the same person. Truthfully the correct statement is wife and sister being the same person. Not mom and sister dumba$$. Truthfully everyone knows that your brother and husband are the same person.NC State's first road game with a young QB helped.

Really, beat 1 team with an above .500 W/L in 2018.
Like I said. He beat up a bunch of bottom feeders to get to 61.
He pulled off upset over Oklahoma State in 2013 then Baylor in 2014
2-5 in Bowls, Best Bowl win Orange Bowl vs Clemson.
Not all the way true but you have to get comparable talent to what comes out of Texas. Even states around Texas that the Big 12 can recruit.
Virginia
Maryland
Carolina
Georgia
Florida
Those are the states that we need players to come from.
You can find some players in the Northeast that are undervalued but not as many as Texas or the Southeast.
Not Oklahoma but wvu is already beating Texas. But Texas has always been overrated. Texas is Fat and slow like always. Got exposed by LSU. Will get exposed 2-3 more times before the season ends.Of course your post has nothing to do with my point. You’re not beating Oklahoma and Texas consistently with recruiting classes ranked in the 30s and 40s. If you can’t accept that you’re officially a r....d.
