When do we start dumping nuclear waste into rivers? I love how you all think anyone who doesn’t subscribe to your dogma are desiring to destroy the planet. Just unhinged and unable to be taken seriously.
It’s funny how you think businesses do anything that doesn’t help their fvcking bottom line. Sure, add cost without PR benefit? CEO’s go crazy for that **** hunh?

We'll just keep up with government redistributing incomes from wealthy folks and running up massive amounts of debt in the process.

LMAO taxes are at an ALL TIME low for the Top 10% so who the f*ck are they redistributing all that money too? The Govt is running up debt at a massive rate under Trump and worse than Obama now who actually HAD to spend money to save the banking and mortgage system from total collapse. BTW under Repub Ike the top tax rate was 70% and America did just fine including building the entire Interstate system with that tax revenue and the Top 10% got a return on those taxes as that massively opened up interstate shipping and the movement of goods and services which they owned the bulk of those companies!.

I most certainly have worked for companies that haven't done the right thing.

Might be the dumbest comment ever on this board by anyone. Congratulations

How much extra do you send in Bulya?

None?

So why are you insisting someone who makes more than you send in their extra?

Man, could you imagine the stereotyping and broad generalization like you’re doing being applied in other aspects of society? Say for instance like in issues of race?

**** off with that tired Bullsh1t. It’s your go to for everything.

I’m saying businesses will keep information from the public if it endangers their profit margin. It’s happened plenty of fvcking times. As long as the information is discovered and relayed to the consumer in a efficient way, the consumer can drive the market in a healthy way.

Fvcking babies.

Oh Dave, there are plenty of examples of companies hiding information from the public. All I said was that the consumer needs the information in order for a unfettered AND healthy market to exist.

Fvcking West Virginians unaware of how nasty companies can be.....how much blood was literally spilled to assert even basic rights for workers in the coal industry? As a Mountaineer, you should know how much of an impact unions have had, how much federal regulations for worker conditions, salaries, hours, compensation, and health care have helped miners over the last century.

Talk your smack, but it’s you that’s revealing how little you Fvcking know. Sad.....esp with an old fvcker like you

Insanity is telling the world there is no climate change, fossil fuel burning is good for the earth, and that mercury doesn’t need to be restricted in coal burning plants.

Sit TF down.

I'd suggest true insanity is convincing millions of Americans sending their hard earned tax dollars into wasteful and bloated and inefficient and incompetent Government is a "fix" for it all.

Really? Those buffoons who can't even balance a 3.8 Trillion dollar spending authorization without running up even more debt? [eyeroll]

They're going to solve "climate change"

So out of thousands of companies you found a couple who did the wrong thing. Uh oh better let big bro regulate everyone.

Whats that? Some companies took advantage of their workers? Well **** far we better unionize Krogers. BRILLIANT.

Yeah.....its revealing alright cupcake.

What’s my go to? Pointing out the never ending stream of liberal hypocrisy and irrational demonization of the very sector of our society which makes it possible for this nation to be what it is? You need to take your Bolshevik based ******** and **** right the hell off, right along with the rest of the brainwashed morons who’ve been deluded into believing job creators are the enemy. This isn’t the 20s, employees are well cared for.

You all really need to learn how to internet better.

  1. You lie, or, quote one post of mine where I said Trump was good.
  2. This board, I especially do not follow my principles. I learned long ago that that wouldn't fly.
    1. You don't know me in real life
    2. Who the Hell are you to judge me by any principles?
  3. Yes, you're insane

“Liberal hypocrisy”, “Liberal hypocrisy”, JFC you’re a fvcking broken record.

All I said in this thread was that there must be a non profit, untouchable, incorruptible means for relating information to the consumer in order to keep market forces moving in the direction that ensures a healthy society. Otherwise you need regulation. I didn’t even say, that it must be government.

History has taught us, not just history but current fvcking lawsuits and internal corporate memos, that business decisions are by and large driven by profit and loss. I’m sure there are plenty of CEO’s out there that are driven by factors not on the balance sheet, but we’ve seen many examples of those that are not.

I simply said to Coop that removing Government completely from business, imo, would require a clear method of informing consumers. And you’re claiming I’m spouting Bolshevik principles and comparing my observations to racism? Drama Queen

The purpose of any business is to grow profitably. There is no other point behind going into business unless you are running a non profit. CEOs are hired to manage that growth and assure a ROI for either investors or shareholders. If you think businesses operate for some other reason besides growing profitably you've never run a business.

If you work in Government, growing profitably is meaningless and a foreign language to you. Growing Government is the only portion of that equation bureaucrats do understand.

Libs act like it's the 1800's, and employees were treated like dirt, anyone did anything because noone was watching. Fast forward to the real time, today, communications and negative publicity are real. Branding is everything, even for small companies. They can't get away with what they did 2 centuries ago.

Top companies usually have a goal of retaining and attracting the best employees. They won't be able to do that by breaking the rules.

Exactly! Competition for skilled workers who can help you grow faster, more efficiently and with higher levels of quality and customer satisfaction are always in demand. You don't attract them or your customers and keep either offering inferior products, treating employees like dirt, and being insensitive to the communities where both (employees and customers) live!

Is that indictment of me? Or you all? I’m thinking the latter.

And of course decisions are driven by P&L, and Id hazard a guess and say 99% of those will always err on the side on legality. We might push to the edge of the boundary, etc. but by and large we don’t intentionally break the law. Does it happen? Sure. Why do you think when big scandals go down, and companies fold that people rarely go to prison?

Immoral is a matter of perspective. Illegal, is a matter of law.

There you go.....without the regulatory statutes, P&L only driver in the train?

Look, your perspective has been beneficial to me, as I learned the generic labeling of conservatives is inaccurate and counterproductive, but you’re doing the same ****. You realize this was all because Coop said he wants government the **** out of the market and I said I’m likely to agree with that sentiment as long as information is guaranteed to get to consumers unaltered? And you fvckers come over the top with the emotionally charged anti-lib rant lumping me (and my position) in with communist nutjobs from the turn of the century — and then in the same breath talk about how idiotic it is to do exactly that
