Preface: I don't agree with Trump's decision.
However, I'd tell legislative to kiss off, clear my judicial appointments, send me a budget, and quit wasting their time on executive matters.
I'm glad that they did this but Trump will just ignore it and let his lying press corps deal with any media questions on the subject.
Another sideshow to talk about other than ever growing list of successes the Trump administration is achieving.
Form a large protest. Or contact the supervisor of the grounds crew. You do not have to involve the President in matters such as this. He is probably not contacted every day to do this deed. Contact NYT or WaPo and tell them that Trump did not handle flag duties today.
He possibly could have passed the duties on today so he could negotiate a trade agreement with our neighbor. Would you agree for him to switch duties with the grounds staff. President is only one with clearance to negotiate today. Possibly get an act of congress to approve one member of grounds crew to handle negotiations and signature for the rest of this administration. Anything else you would like to reassign while you are in mood?
