Legitimate points on both. Thank you for making the debate and discourse make sense THE. Both circumstances, imo, are examples of extreme action. Prayer in schools I would fight against....but if a coach chooses to make a team prayer voluntary, I have no problem with it. Christian concerts in public space are no different than any other group preforming, and it shouldn’t be restricted. Only restrictions should be made in government sponsored events or displays, imo.Two events closest to me:
- City counsel didn't allow us to hold a concert on public grounds that they allowed other groups to do the same. We went to two meetings to protest, I even spoke, but they still denied.
- Local high school football coach I know well was fired because of prayer after practice, etc. They knew what they were getting. He is also a youth pastor.
When the narrative gets fused into a general battle, we lose sight of common ground.
