Just a few months ago you all were hating him, now you love him.........wonder why? And I don't personally care about the wall, just think that it will be a waste of money in the long run.
I'm still not voting for the low life ...he is just playing politics right now his actions speak louder than his words
How? If wall cannot be breached, traffic will cease.Reduced illegal drug flow. Reduction of ALL types of person flow--including those none of us want here, especially those already deported for crimes committed in USA. Greatly improved
National security. Waste of money. Does not even closely challenge for the waste we constantly experience in many other activities run by the Government. Build the wall but do not grant citizenship to DACA folks. I thought the argument was protection from deportation? Then we hear citizenship. Two are not the same. Give them permanent residency but no path to citizenship (or at least make them apply like any other foreigner.) Then automatic, immediate deportation if convicted of a felony. Tighten chain migration. NO LOTTERY for entry.

I'm all for the wall..the daca kids , should have protection to get in line if they are productive people then move them along , stop the lottery & chain migration , enforce the immigration laws & severely punish companies who hire ILLEGAL immigrants & back to daca kids if they are criminals send that *** back , felony or multiple

How many terrorists have sneaked over the southern border? You know the easiest way to become an illegal alien? It's by starting as a legal visitor. Every one of the 9/11 hijackers came here on a valid visa, and as many illegals stay on expired visas every year as there are border sneakers.

Popeer..yes ladders & shovels can make it possible to still get in ...but the wall will slow it down greatly & limit the locations they get in , & the government who main job is to protect legal citizens should enforce the the visa limitations & get them out ..its simple logic really...locks & cops don't stop all thieves but they do slow them down .

I wonder if we've called France yet to ask if they would sell us the Maginot Line on the cheap. I mean it's used, so we might be able to get it cheaper than building new.
Well if was getting invaded by an opposing army then I would say get the military involved , but since we are talking about illegal immigrants than a wall should work or slow it down greatly & help with the drug trafficking
You are dealing with multi billion dollar industries though. Drugs are coming in via boats, planes, tunnels, hidden in legitimate cargo. I think you are fooling yourself if you think a wall makes a huge dent in drug trafficking. As far as illegal immigration goes, there are still plenty of options for people to come in with a wall. If there weren't, we wouldn't have Asian illegal immigrants too.
I'm not entirely opposed to the wall. I don't think a physical barrier makes sense for the whole border though. Some stretches of the border do lend themselves to a physical barrier, and I'm fine with building there. A physical barrier can be overcome if you don't monitor it closely though. That was partially my point about the Maginot Line.
That looks to be a very poor example of border security...building that thing is like trying to using a pair of panties for a rubber ...would be worth a f$@k.
Hopefully we can build a security system that works to a high degree & be cost effective. Just think how many legal people we could help with just the money saved on the imprisonment of illegal aliens that have committed crimes ...

Like most situations no one thing will be a complete fix , the wall is a start in all places it is feasible, after that drones , cameras & border patrols , boats on the beaches ...have to do something , I feel sorry for the good people in them sh $t hole countries, but we can't bring them all here & borrow money to give them welfare.
A wall will not stop drug trafficking and will not put a significant dent in illegal immigration.
What is needed is a system that will allow workers into the country in large numbers in an efficient manner. Why?......because cheap and willing labor is needed in the country. That's why everyone turned a blind eye as to what has been going on for years and years.

Willing labor is neaded! Yes it dang sure is & so is welfare reform ,to many people won't work jobs they don't like because of food stamps! I mean why would a legal pos get a low paying job if uncle Sam will pay him not to ..

Immigration laws aren't being enforced just like a lot of the existing gun control laws are overlooked.

Build the wall...electrify it and put Pitt Bulls who get fed only once a week on the other side for anyone dumb enough to try and breach it. Might not stop everyone, but the Dogs will get to eat the rest of the week for free.
