Charlie Rose and Al Sharpton basically said last night that the Jefferson Memorial should come down.

I do not take the statues of those generals as endorsement of slavery. I am against the confederate flag. The left respects nobody and their against are horrible too. Pigs in a blanket fry them like bacon. Is that something to be proud of? I am against David Duke and the KKK, and white suprematists.

One thing we agree on is the viewpoint of the statutes. But it isn't my viewpoint that is important and neither is yours if that is a true statement by you. It is those that are using that symbol to push an agenda of hate. Why are you so blind and can't see it? Forget idealology for a moment. Just look at right and wrong. Look at David Duke's comments. Free speech is free speech even one you don't like. I don;t like what the left says either but they are entitled to it. Neither are entitled to damage property, or each other. If the police had hit that crowd with tear gas, there would have been less damage, maybe. And I hate what duke stands for too. I don't like either's far right and left comments, but they are entitled to speak but not damage. Should the Antifa thugs who rioted in Berkley over ann coulter been arrested?

I don't know much about Antifa. I know a little about the Ann Coulter issue. I believe some that got out of control during the protesting of Ann Coulter were arrested after they broke the law. Not sure of your point.
There is no hate speech exception in the 1st amendment...the way to combat it is with speech that refutes it's message. Yes personal responsibility starts with everyone's actions (or reactions). You can't seek to harm a person just because you don't like or agree with what they say.
You don't know much about Antifa because the media which liberals constantly defend do not cover their violence nearly as much as they should. Liberal politicians don't denounce their violence nearly as much as they should. Their terrorism is not spoken about in the liberal bubble. The condemnation of the KKK is 100% justified and necessary. The silence on Antifa is irresponsible. You will continue to see violence at protests and college speeches as long as Antifa is allowed to wreak havoc.
Just re-stating in my terms. I don't care for identity politics or hate groups...but I can't see how we can put limits on free speech and still be the country we're supposed to be. But it seems like some are advocating for that.
I wish all of us on both sides could agree that hate on both sides is wrong.
