Mayor Stoney has commissioned a "blue ribbon" panel to figure out what to do with Monument Ave. He says all options are on the table, but has no desire to see them removed. I think most would agree that live in the area that really this is where it's headed and where he really wants it to go. Right now the options being discussed are adding statues of civil rights leaders, adding another "Monument Ave" for civil rights leaders, and adding descriptive plaques to each one of the current statues. I believe eventually they are removed, maybe not immediately but sometime in the future.
To digress, the interesting thing here is the City of Richmond has a wealth of serious problems. Violent crime is on the increase, the majority of schools aren't accredited, the schools are in deplorable shape in many cases, budget shortfalls, etc. Bit this is what they are spending resources on.
Only an idiot would feel Antifa represents an opposition to fascism we aren't even remotely close to that in this country.

LMAO...."Flirtation"? Bobby Byrd was a recruiter and leader of the kkk chapter that he started. When it came time to elect the top officer,Exalted Cyclops in the local klan unit, Byrd won unanimously.

In America there will always be counter protesters at White Supremacist rallies, that is a small ignorant group that will always be outnumbered and need protection.

Can they protest? Sure. Are we willing to go beyond tolerance of their rights and civil war in support of them? Absolutely not. Both them and Antifa can eat a whole bag of dicks. The idea that they feel they have a voice in this country is deeply disturbing to me, same as BLM, La Rassa, The Nation, and the Black Panthers. All of these fringe elements have fractured this country and the VAST majority of people wish you'd all go back into the shadows.

No one cares any more about those ******* statues than they do about the plight of the ghetto and of illegals.
If any of them took up arms, they'd be squashed. We aren't anywhere close to civil war in this country. We'd be closer and more people impacted if Starbucks was shut down nationwide.

I'm not hiding. I believe in diversity of races. Lord knows I've sampled the goods in all of them. I don't believe in identity politics to and including white people. I believe in the virtues of a man. You want it? Work for it and earn it. Near as I can tell, there are plenty of white trash I'm as disgusted by as any other race. There is no difference.

Let me rephrase. I refuse to participate in identity politics because skin color is not a determinative in quality of contribution. For instance, you're presumably a white person. You're behavior in these discussions are no different than BLM, La Rassa, or any other collective group feeling deserved of something based solely on their collective outrage.
