Dang....Trump has something to tweet about today. He'll get to the bottom of this.Unfortunately the red commies at the ACLU are still around:
Officials in Knightstown, Indiana, removed a cross atop the town's Christmas tree due to a lawsuit from the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).
The town council elected to take the cross off the tree Monday because they didn't think they could afford fighting a legal battle against the ACLU.
The lawsuit was brought on behalf of resident Joseph Tompkins, and it alleges that the cross violates the establishment clause of the First Amendment.

Separation of Church and State.....the overlooked pillar of American ideology. I mean, the second admendment that guarantees the right to bare arms (forget the portion of the admendent that says for the purpose of a well trained militia) can't be even remotely infringed upon, but ALL of us should bow before the cross?Unfortunately the red commies at the ACLU are still around:

So any religion could conspicuously put their special religious symbol on a key public building on their special religious holiday? Would everyone sign off on that?Even though I'm atheist, I still think this stuff is ridiculous at times. On the one hand I can kind of see their point, but I don't agree with it at all. Christmas is a Christian holiday, so I don't see the issue with having a Christian symbol on one of the key symbols of the Christian holiday.
Some people need to find a hobby ... or a woman (or man, if that's their thing)
Actually, Christmas is derivative of the pagan celebration of the winter solstice. So....let's not let Christians claim everything. The spirit of the Holliday is about bringing people together, put up a santa or a rain deer or a star or a snowflake or a snowman, and let's have some cider, get lit and love one another!Even though I'm atheist, I still think this stuff is ridiculous at times. Great point. This is what Christians miss all the time. If it was any other religious symbol, Christians in that town would flip their little lids! Well saidSo any religion could conspicuously put their special religious symbol on a key public building on their special religious holiday? Would everyone sign off on that?

Would a drunken orgy in the town square be allowed by the town? Or the ACLU?Actually, Christmas is derivative of the pagan celebration of the winter solstice. AgreedA public space that is part of the government should be neutral in terms of religion. If bible thumpers could ever get it through their thick skulls that simple fact and would respect the thought this country isn't just for them, this foolishness would end. But it won't. Idiots will be idiots.
I see we don't understand commas.Separation of Church and State.....the overlooked pillar of American ideology. I mean, the second admendment that guarantees the right to bare arms (forget the portion of the admendent that says for the purpose of a well trained militia) can't be even remotely infringed upon, but ALL of us should bow before the cross?
One coment.....
When this nation was formed, states had at least 1 formal state religion.
Has anybody made you "bow" before anything?but ALL of us should bow before the cross?
"Every knee shall bow,and EVERY tounge confess that Jesus Christmas is Lord"Has anybody made you "bow" before anything?
You are walking proof of that.A public space that is part of the government should be neutral in terms of religion. I like the dramatic effect......I see we don't understand commas.
Yes, everyday I live in a nation that is driven by Christian law.Has anybody made you "bow" before anything?
& a Christian majority, a big reason why hillary lost ....a email leak showed democrats hatred for people of faith.Yes, everyday I live in a nation that is driven by Christian law.

How do you interpret First Amend?Read the First Amendment to the United States Constitution.
So very well put!Yes, good to see Christians voting for the values of their faith...bigotry, racism, misogyny, violence towards others, lying, stealing, cheating, adultery, lust of the flesh, pride of life, love of money, etc. etc.
Proverbs 6:16-19 ESV
There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.
I think Trump covered six out of seven.
Walk down the street with a cross on your forehead....put up a crèche in front of your house....your space your beliefs. Once we start talking about PUBLIC space, leave religion out of it.How do you interpret First Amend?
I was more or less referring to your lack of understanding of the significance of said comma in the 2nd amendment and the well established arguments laid out in the Federalist papers with regard to the intent behind why the 2nd amendment is in there.I like the dramatic effect......
But, you do believe in Freedom of Speech?Walk down the street with a cross on your forehead....put up a crèche in front of your house....your space your beliefs. Once we start talking about PUBLIC space, leave religion out of it.
Thanks for the clarification.I was more or less referring to your lack of understanding of the significance of said comma in the 2nd amendment and the well established arguments laid out in the Federalist papers with regard to the intent behind why the 2nd amendment is in there.
Another argument for another thread for another time.
Very much, but I don't believe in freedom of ignoranceBut, you do believe in Freedom of Speech?
They just voted for the least of the two evils. She has 7 ...Yes, good to see Christians voting for the values of their faith...bigotry, racism, misogyny, violence towards others, lying, stealing, cheating, adultery, lust of the flesh, pride of life, love of money, etc. etc.
