as the $2.2 million/season they were paying Tommy Tuberville. Will be curious to see how Strong's new deal compares; I assume he'll make MORE, though I'm not altogether sure USF football is in a more favorable financial position than UC.
But his getting back to Florida DOES make sense; if he can succeed at USF, it puts him in a good position when Florida eventually decides their current guy is ready to be ejected. And the same can be said about Fickell, especially if Meyer decides he's ready to hang it up in Columbus in a few years.
