it may and it may not, we'll see

from the OP's article

"Fear is likely to pervade during second half and the S&P 500 will end 2017 at 2,300," according to Kostin et al. While that would be 5 percent above where we are trading today, it would also mark a decline of nearly 5 percent from the 2,400 they expect the S&P 500 to be trading at during the first half of the year.

I agree. We have no idea. I do like his tax policies. I do like his repatriation policies. I do like his energy policies. I do like his desire to rid ourselves of really, really bad regulations. I do like killing Obamacare which has destroyed jobs. All stimulative. I do like border security to protect American jobs and wages. I also like his spending in infrastructure (if the jobs are truly shovel ready this time).

His presidency will be great for corporations, the 1% and the Trump family, not sure if anyone else will benefit.

You would have more credibility if you didn't so vigorously support Obama where the rich got richer and the middle class got the shaft.

If earnings per share go up $20 bucks, that means the corporation is growing. Wall Street is all about future expectations of growth and earnings. If these corporations are growing they are hiring.

Obama relied on the Fed monetary policy to stimulate the economy after his failed stimulus. The Fed instituted QE and zero interest rates. The rich took advantage, because they had the resources to do so. Trump is going to rely on fiscal policy instead. Very different stimulus and I suspect very different results.

People are going to make money, including the 1%. I guarantee under this economy will increase from Obama's which means more middle class jobs.

As I've said, we're already targeting new opportunities based on the speculation of increased AOP stemming from Trumps Presidency, if we win, that's 50-100 new jobs. We've had to RIF almost 500 in the last 3 years. Every quarter it's been a bloodbath.

No idea what you're talking about on the Obama support. The rich always get richer no matter who is in charge.

or just paying their CEOs and other top management more. Care to support that?

What did the rich do to take advantage of that situation? You don't say what fiscal policy is going to improve the economy. The rich will certainly be enriched with the proposed tax cuts. What are the proposed spending cuts to offset the decrease in tax revenue from the tax cuts? The rich love Republicans and it's not by accident. Can't wait for the trickle down part 2 fail.

Honestly, your post is so full or errors. You supported Obama vigorously. Under Obama, the rich benefitted tremendously with the Fed's policy of QE and zero interest rates. The stock market went up incredibly.

If a company grows their EPS by $20/share, of course the compensation of the head of the company will go up, it's called incentives and is used all the time. Additionally, it the company is expanding and growing that means more jobs. Jack Welch made huge sums of money as CEO of GE, but they employed hundreds of thousands of people. Everyone benefitted when GE grew.

I enumerated a lot of fiscal policy that I believe Trump will follow to stimulate the economy and job creation. Lower taxes for everyone. Lower corporate taxes. Repatriation of overseas profits. Exploitation of our energy industry. Elimination of terrible regulations. Securing the border. Overturning Obamacare which destroyed jobs. Infrastructure spending. All fiscal policies.

And as Reagan proved (look it up), lower tax rates INCREASE tax revenue paid to the Treasury. Reagan almost doubled the taxes paid by Americans to the Treasury over his 8 years. His average GDP over his 8 years, including the recession in 1982 to get extremely high interest rates under control, was 3.5%. Obama has never once achieved 3% GDP growth in any one quarter.

Also, under Reagan, the rich paid more in taxes after the tax cuts. The middle income and poor paid much lower taxes. Nice try.

Your post is all just hopes, dreams and BS. I just hope that he doesn't ruin the economy, ruin our relationships with our allies and start too many wars before he leaves office in 4 years. Ever see a company improve its earnings per share by $20 in 4 years (or 8 or 12)? lol

And you voted for Obama for Hope and Change? Of course we have no idea how Trump will perform. We know what policies he has stated that he will pursue. That is all we have to go on.

Look in a mirror before you post that I am all about hope, dreams and BS.

Yes, the same failed fiscal policies that Ronald Reagan tried - cut taxes and increase spending. The right is always yelling about how the government should be run like a family economy, so explain to me how you can come out ahead by taking in less than you spend.

That only assumes the current levels revenue remain stagnant. If we make that assumption, then all of the left's blustering is correct. However, since revenue will increase, the theory works

You have zero idea of what you are talking about. 21,000,000 million jobs created. An average 3.5% GDP growth rate even including the 1982 recession of tight money designed to break our massive inflation and 20% interest rates inherited from Jimmy Carter. Obama, never once, in any quarter, achieved even a 3% GDP growth. Growing middle class wealth. Rebuilding of our military which brought the Soviet Union to an end. Peace dividend lead to budget surpluses.

Do you not think that a reduction in tax rate will result in more spending by the public.? More disposable income is what it is called. Higher demand will increase production. More people drawing payroll check should have a chance to increase wages. More people getting paid by industry should reduce the number of welfare recipients. Reagan gave great example of that. Required Dr reexamine gave us a hell of a lot more potential applicants as well as I remember.

Trump wants everyone who wants a job to have a job available. The intent is to grow our economy via private concerns. That will grow payrolls and begin the grow cycle. When demand is raised by private industry, they will have to grow employment giving rise to payrolls, rise to production, rise to sales, rise in profits to hire more employees.

You cannot sustain growth by growing government. They make nothing to sell to generate income to pay payroll. When more people added to government, they have to increase tax since they have nothing to sell. When taxes are increased to grow government, disposable income in the free market is reduced. Results in reduction in payroll. More depending on government.

Reduce taxes gives growth in free market.

Increase taxes reduces disposable income and reduction in free market.
