Clear message:Dallas getting gifted the #1 pick makes the Luca trade make a lot more sense.
FIFYClear message:
If you want the #1 player in the draft, make a move that benefits the Lakers
The NBA can tilt things, but not everything all the time. Sometimes the play on the court decides things, to the leagueās office dismay.Lakers and Celtics are OUT already. Golden State about to get bounced.
Not rigged!

Pay back for Luca and trying to get the flopper to another finals with his son on the team.Dallas getting gifted the #1 pick makes the Luca trade make a lot more sense.

Seems legit.
Also remember this. Dallas had new ownership not long ago. She wanted to move the team and being a contender and already in a good market the NBA did not want it. So she trades the best player and wants to tank the team so down the road she can move the team. Now the NBA makes sure that will not happen.
Both are pretty plausible in the NBA rigged league.

Not even the lowest odds ever to get the #1 pick.... People and conspiracy theories, lol.
Yep .now if the Lakers would have done something special in the playoffs. Then you could make a case the NBA āarrangedā the lottery pick for Dallas trading Luca.I'm not aure the Mavericks move the needle enough for the NBA to rig them to get Cooper...and Luca showed why he was traded in the playoffs. I think people are adding 2 and 2 and getting 5
NBA has been struggling with ratings for over a decade. And getting worse with the NFL starting to take over arguably the NBA,s best game day of the year on Christmas Day.
Naw people would still cry foul unless everyone saw every teams bingo balls and watched the team put there's into it. Actually that would make for fun television if they went to such lengths. If they went back to the bingo balls and did it publicly there would be no debate. They donāt do that any more for a reason.

You mean the no travel league?People still watch basketball

LA is in trouble. An aging star in LeBron and a younger, out-of-shape, often hurt, younger star in Luca who has no interest in playing defense. Some NBA analysts are saying Luca could walk away from the Lakers via free agency, too. (Of course there is hope, the Laker fans can always wait for the 2026-27 season when Bryce James joins his father and brother on the team.)I'd think Bron Bron would still be playing and GS wouldn't be down 3-1 if that were the case but anything is possible.
When I hear things like the NBA likes scoring and wants to feature its stars, then you know that, to a degree, it is rigged. When stars get most of the calls and a great team has stars in their prime, then that team has a competitive advantage. If a team has players that are great at attacking the rim, that team also has an advantage. The NBA can tilt things, but not everything all the time.
