I’m not taking the thread bait. He is in. I can’t imagine we would’ve let McCord walk out of Lincoln if DR wasn’t 100%. Don’t think he would’ve been in Lincoln the weekend without being committed.
Not thread bait. I said in the original post I believe he is N

Absolutely correct. How in the hell can his uncle be held responsible for his 18 year old nephew’s decision? If not for his dad playing here we would have never even been considered.
I’m sure his uncle Donnie knows how the kid is and he should have told him if your not going to commit to neb this time stay in Georgia stop getting the coaches and fans false hope , that why he could be held accountable

This is a really good point and I think something most of us (me for sure) have not considered.

I am sure Don and Dom have talked, over and over, and they know. They are brothers, I have a brother and if something could impact his life, good/bad, I would be sure to let him know.

So the McCord bridge is burned it sounds like. What I don’t understand is there’s no way Dylan could have assumed with 100% certainty he was going to start day 1 at Georgia. I mean, we’re talking about Georgia coming off back to back natty’s, there’s no way he thought that spot was his going in did he?

The McCord issue was with McCord and his family not Raiola

of course Georgia is going to text and he’s probably answered cause he’s built a relationship with them, it’s no different than having a long-term ex girlfriend and had some Communication…meanwhile you’re single and the prettier girl (Nebraska) has your heart.

I have seen nothing that bore any evidence that McCord or anyone else was a lock to sign with Nebraska prior to Riola's official visit. Nothing has really changed since Dec 1st other than a lot of posters wanting to bear children for anyone remotely related to the immediate Riola & McCord player's family. Wednesday might provide an answer... if not then February will.

Leading Conspiracy theory is this was all a ploy to garner 1890 funds. Pretty diabolical if true.

If “I was Dylan’s parents and I was Dylan” I would have said before even getting on the plane to go to Lincoln. Let’s go on the visit- but then afterwards let’s go back home - get away from all the “hoopla”. And then with a clear mind- make the decision. Georgia is an elite program obviously ….. tough decision for the family either way.

Why would Dom the father play the fan base like this if he is going to Georgia all along..

This makes no sense what so ever..

But then you would be wrong. This wasn’t a trip to see what Nebraska is like or has to offer. The only reason to come here is to commit. I don’t buy all this other BS, unless you’re just trying to stir ****, create drama. If there was no prior relationship with the program (Dad and Uncle) then it might make sense. I wouldn’t sweat it too much.

Would be an amazing recruitment. But if he doesn’t come it’s all good. This is all getting so odd and the coach trolling with cryptic tweets. Can’t we just go back to the 1980s and start over?

Maybe the Raiolas thought Carson Beck was not coming back next year at Georgia. Now Carson may come back and Dylan wanted to reconsider his options. Who really knows? Yes, there are crystal balls to Nebraska but has any of the Raiolas told anyone he was switching.

Ooooh, I agree!

There's no way that on his 10 to 15 prior trips to NU that he could get a good feel for what it was like, so he loaded up his family, except for his uncle who stayed in GA for some reason, got on a plane, flew to Nebraska just to see if the experience was different this time.

Wizardry!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why do you have to “go to Lincoln to commit”? Just do it in social media like everyone else…..

The trip with a stop at the wedding didn’t take all day. I’m sure that had someone with Dylan. I think the coaches are confident in Dylan’s choice….,enough to visit other important recruits.

I agree. Rhule’s tweet yesterday about wanting Husker nation to know what he knows and his desire to share that news seems to indicate very strongly that Dylan is N. Rhule knows the fan base is consumed with his recruitment.

Or get away from Georgia. At least for a little bit. He didn’t come here to check it out so he can go back to Georgia and think about it. And yes, make his video in Memorial Stadium.

I don’t think Rhule and Co would’ve allowed all this nonsense if it wasn’t a done deal. If he kicks us in the balls again, I don’t know what to say.

In before:

We didn’t want him anyway
We refused to guarantee him anything
His dad is pulling the strings
Etc etc etc
And the

-We got Casey Thomas and he’s as good or better than DR or McCord

-this isn’t on the staff

-wait until Rhule tells the story, you’ll understand

Coming back after committing to GA, and then leaves and reaffirms to GA, parents and uncle are smart folks, they know how that will be viewed by the Husker fan base. Don’t know how close dad is with the school over the years once he left for the NFL. But would seem to burn some bridges if there wasn’t a really strong desire to play here to head this way this late in the process.

Want him to be N and then other players that are damn good come here with him and the rest of the class of recruits and get the team moving more towards the national relevance the team had for so long. If he doesn’t come, it can still happen the margin for error is smaller.

If we don't get Raiola, our NIL people need to send a big check to South Dakota State's QB to convince him to transfer

So let’s see. In the course of about 10 days, we’ve gone from:

—McCord is N
—Fleming is N (package deal with McCord)

To:
—Guess what? Raiola is N, too! And maybe Princely!

—“Nebraska is about to wake the eff up!” tweets from outside the program

—National buzz about Nebraska making waves for the first time since Frost was hired

After that:
—McCord is out… but we didn’t really want him anyway (guy was totally scared to compete with Dylan, way too immobile, has a helicopter dad, etc).

—Fleming is out… but his dad says we have nice facilities, so it’s ok.

—Princely is out (sorry, little bro, but buzz off: when the storied tradition of Ole Miss football comes a callin’, you’d best answer that phone).

—Raiola is definitely still N and stuff; it’s just that he doesn’t want to steal from the Volleyball team’s thunder by announcing anything ahead of time.

An hour ago:
—Raiola is still a Georgia lean, talking to Kirby, and hey—the kid might have just come back to Lincoln to glom free wrestling and women’s basketball tickets and spend quality time with his family at Christmas. What’s the big deal?

To now:
—Dylan is still N… probably. Maybe.

————
So after all that, what do we have as of right now (8:30 CST in Lincoln)?

—no commitments

—smoke and mirrors, with no fire anywhere in sight

—and—if we’re really lucky—the return of a banged up Casey Thompson.

Helluva ride so far, and easily some of the worst fun I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
