Like USC-Washington. The lines block, the backs run for chunks, the QBs are accurate, the receivers get open and catch the ball, the plays like screens and draws work. Depressing.
What?Certain people in the AD from the oughts should be brought up on criminal charges.
People paid to safeguard the program were negligent or potentially criminal in their behavior, I wish we did something about it but we're too nice. What?
Oughts should be spelled aughts as in the '00s, if that helps. What?
One good QB, not even great, just good, would be nice and go a long way to winning games like today and Minny.Y1 of a needed rebuild, calm down. We don't have a QB and our offense is decimated by injury. It's always been about where we are in Y2 or Y3. Need to get a real QB in the portal to have a chance.
Huskers are playing with one hand tied behind their backs right now with no QB. It is what it is. Can't expect the defense to keep the opponent to single digits every game. One good QB, not even great, just good, would be nice and go a long way to winning games like today and Minny.
Two years from now we will look like that.Like USC-Washington. The lines block, the backs run for chunks, the QBs are accurate, the receivers get open and catch the ball, the plays like screens and draws work. Depressing.
And a line that is average at best on a good day. Receiver's with no experience.....etc.Huskers are playing with one hand tied behind their backs right now with no QB. It is what it is. Can't expect the defense to keep the opponent to single digits every game.
I’m beginning to believe the fans of other big 10 teams that say we should go back to the big 12. Watching this USC-Washington game I think Nebraska and the rest of Big ten west is much closer to battling for championship in the future big 12 conference than they are to finishing in top 8 of new Big Ten.Y1 of a needed rebuild, calm down. There are a lot of problems on offense, I'm performing triage. And a line that is average at best on a good day. Receiver's with no experience.....etc.
Certainly in the last decade, poor recruiting, poor coaching, losing records have caught up with us.We've gotten so far behind, not just top teams but competent teams, it'll be a miracle to even get back above average. Certain people in the AD from the oughts should be brought up on criminal charges.
Good luck and God speed. There are a lot of problems on offense, I'm performing triage.
And USCs QB just gave up a one hand on the ball fumble that cost SC 7 pts. Looks familiar.Like USC-Washington. The lines block, the backs run for chunks, the QBs are accurate, the receivers get open and catch the ball, the plays like screens and draws work. Depressing.
I can't disagree but by next year we will look totally different. That last third of or schedule next year looks daunting.I’m beginning to believe the fans of other big 10 teams that say we should go back to the big 12. Offenses tend to look better when you have a QB.Yeah it appears that even mid level teams seem to play quicker, are more explosive and physical. Not sure what it is but we just look slow and no sense of rhythm.
It'd be acceptable if we were pushing teams around and dominating but most times the offense looks lost.
No joke we better get off to a 6-1 start because that last 5 games look real daunting especially if Iowa builds an offense to match D and special teams.I can't disagree but by next year we will look totally different. That last third of or schedule next year looks daunting.
I like your optimism but first we need talented athletes who can execute like those teams. Not sure how realistic that is but I see they’re doing OK in places like Manhattan and Columbia so it’s possible Rhule can make us respectable too….Two years from now we will look like that.
It is possible but like I said in another post, we have to start winning more games. Better athletes don’t want to play on a losing program. Win and the recruits will come!I

Lay off the booze HawkeyeWe've gotten so far behind, not just top teams but competent teams, it'll be a miracle to even get back above average. Certain people in the AD from the oughts should be brought up on criminal charges.
2 second year coaches. 38-7 conbined. I'll take it. And washington was 4-8 two years ago. What do both have? A QB that belongs in Power 5. Matt has some work to do. And I'm pretty sure that USC's qb didn't have a loss against Adams Central. Get a stud from the south and it would go a long way. What do we do? Bank the future on Kaelin Deboer. LOL.USC vs Wash has not a shred of defense. Unreal.

Both teams has Heisman QB's , huge difference.2 second year coaches. 38-7 conbined. I'll take it. And washington was 4-8 two years ago. What do both have? A QB that belongs in Power 5.
