LOL! thought he was committed to us

figured he would be considering he's homegrown

I'm upset about having an OL coach who's never recruited in his life learning on the job here

now that you corrected me (thank you), I do remember several "we didn't want him anyway" posts after his commitment

He’s flipping to Mizzou is my guess.

He's not actually "homegrown"... came from South Carolina I believe...his mom still lives there

He visited Mizzou over the weekend

We've got to keep him and Lacy somehow, someway.
Starting rb spot is wide open next year so that has to be attractive. And I think Knighton is on the rise as a coach so I'm not super worried about DL recruits. Would you want to call that guy and say you de-committed?

You say this like there's some doubt?
Both of them were relatively under the radar recruits when we got them to commit. I don't know if that is the case anymore. Being in Texas I'm sure there is plenty of local interest trying to get them to stay closer to home.

Both look like excellent recruits. Gives me faith in our recruiting strategy.

Lacy seems a little shaky in his commit. Kiffen visited his school last week, and he tweeted out a Florida offer as well.

If Barthel can't keep Lacy committed when we have a totally open room next year then I will lose some faith in him. We have to have one of the most wide open rb rooms in the country on paper for 2024.

I think if you consider yourself an elite RB then you're not worried about having an open room where you're going. Their mentality is probably "I'm good enough to start anywhere." And they should have that mentality, that's what you want.

Lacy visited for the Michigan game. Hopefully that didn't make him question his commitment.

I think we will be portal shopping for at least one RB either way.

Looks like brix didn’t care for Donnie to show up, he’s trending hire for OU
grew up a Husker fan

well within the 500 mi radius

absolutely nobody standing in his way for day 1 playing time

should be a slam dunk

too bad we retained an OL coach who never recruited a day in his life prior to being gifted the job with no competition

I had not heard that he grew up a Nebraska fan.

He received one pick from an OU homer, but I doubt that guy knows anything. Brix has played it close to the vest the whole way and I doubt he decided to tip his hand now.

If I had to choose an official visit to ND to accept, it would be against USC.

I realize we may end up losing him, but can’t blame him for taking his officials…
Agreed. I think he still ends up N. His buddies are N this class and his family can go to all his home games.

Just saw him.

Didn’t say a word because I’m not psycho and want the kid to do what’s best for him.

He looks REALLY excited for ND vs USC.

Why wouldn’t he be? How many people get to be on the field for a game of that magnitude?

Sorry, but this shouldn’t surprise ANYBODY.
