… got to learn to win, though
Rhule has not been good in his first year at Temple and Baylor. It may take playing N Illinois and Lou Tech before the Huskers get a win. I hope I don't have a stroke in the stands this coming Saturday. (Why a 10:00 am kickoff for a game in Boulder? That is seriously going to cut in my pre-game preparation at the Harvest House. I am going in early to see my cousin who is in bad shape from esophageal cancer. He is too weak to make it to the game. Cancer and Chemo are a killer. Since the game is so early, I've got an evening flight back to Spokane. Then a 2 1/2 hour drive home)

Damn, that’s tough. Watching someone who is close deal with terminal illness is depressing. Almost makes stressing over a football game silly in comparison.

Because you can't find 6 wins on the schedule and you need that many to go to a bowl.
We should just forfeit the rest of our games then. Gloom despair and agony on me. Deep dark depression endless misery.

TCU lost entire offense and scored 42 on Colorado. It would be typical for us to
Overreact to wk1 outcomes. Me included. After being upset on Thursday night at how it ended, I was actually quite pleased with a lot of what I saw. I’ll let the season play out. I think we can win. I’d start working Malachi and Washington at WR. Maybe tommie hill too. Just get some burners for deep play action or screens

We have a talent problem. The fact (fact) that we looked basically like the EXACT same team with just a shiny new coaching staff illustrates this. We all saw it. Rhule & Co get zero praise until they start recruiting better than the two previous staffs.

Problem is that Talent now equates to Money. If we want to be competitive in the Big 10 we need to do a LOT more generating money to throw at elite talent. We’re certainly a passionate fan base…. Until it comes time to get out the checkbook.
You are probably correct about the until it comes time to get the checkbook out. I was surprised to see listing of Big Ten teams’s football revenues and expenses. Yes Nebraska is near the top in revenue but is down low on expenses. How are we not investing more than say Iowa?

Is there any evidence that Satterfield was “going rogue”?the rogue part was more of a joke. But since it needs to be black and white for you. Overcome his terrible play calling. He was horrible.

No. But there needs to be standards and accountability. Like it or not, the university and the athletic department are accountable to the people of the state. They have to do better. It's been a giant disaster around there for almost 15 years.

You can't believe negativity coming from Nebraska football fans? 😂

I'm honestly convinced that Nebraska got jinxed somehow. No other way to explain it. Like the Curse of the Bambino. But with, oh, I don't know - Bob Devaney?
We kinda did 2 of the 3 things I said that needed to be done.

1) Apologize to frank at first game...well they kinda did at spring game.

2) Bring back blonde herbie husker....they did but not without wokeness.

3) Sacrifice lil red on the 50 yd line.....remains to be seen.

Hopefully red balloons coming back 🙏. I'll bring mine I guess

It needs to be more than a bunch of ‘donors dinners’ and the like. We all need to tithe 10% to the football team…

Screens, throwing to tight ends (#1 tight end in 2021 doesn't get a pass all game?), check downs ????

A lot more was right than wrong Thursday night. I am encouraged by this coaching staff. On the road against a team that won their division last year, and we should have won the game. Fan expectations have changed so quickly they don't even realize a Husker win would have been considered an upset.
Not true. There were some areas of modest improvement, but the asinine penalties, turnovers, and inability to run the ball from the RB position reminded me of the Frost years. You realize that we will only be favored 4 times this year give or take.

Rhule is going to have to grind on the clock and hope to keep Shaddeur (sp?) on the sideline. The kid has legit arm talent and will be a top three pick among quarterbacks in the draft.

5-star...

funny how just a few really talented players can change the entire complex of a team, innit? Like having Trey Palmer, vs. not. Having a 5-star QB. Deion's an absolute tool, but c'mon...
