I agree @spartanhusker . Can't believe all the negativity on this board. I was just as pissed we lost as anyone but come on, we were -7 dogs. We were playing a conference opponent on the road with essentially a new roster. Half the people on this board predicted we would lose.

We managed to DOMINATE the game regardless of how poor we played and some of the poor decision making.

I'm going to give Rhule a chance at least to make the changes necessary so those errors don't happen again. At least there is some hope here that things can be corrected. Satterfield, Barthel and Rhule will make the necessary personnel and play calling adjustments and we will get some WINs.

A lot more was right than wrong Thursday night. I am encouraged by this coaching staff. On the road against a team that won their division last year, and we should have won the game. Fan expectations have changed so quickly they don't even realize a Husker win would have been considered an upset.

Sorry but it was the same ******** game we have been watching for many years now.. stupid penalties by the O line, check... bs O line play, check... turnovers, check... bone head coaching mistakes, check... losing the forth quarter, check. Sure the players might have become even in terms of physical shape but come on, it's the same ol ****.

Just frustrated with the constant letdowns. I trust they’ll figure it out. Clean up some details and the wins start coming 🤞

Unfortunately the same can be said for the last almost 10 years.

But I saw improvements in some areas. Special teams were better. Unfortunately under frost, if we had better special teams we win games. I thought physically we played better. The little things that cost us the game are fixable. However there's still some glaring talent issues too

We have a talent problem. The fact (fact) that we looked basically like the EXACT same team with just a shiny new coaching staff illustrates this. We all saw it. Rhule & Co get zero praise until they start recruiting better than the two previous staffs.

Problem is that Talent now equates to Money. If we want to be competitive in the Big 10 we need to do a LOT more generating money to throw at elite talent. We’re certainly a passionate fan base…. Until it comes time to get out the checkbook.

It really stings when it looked like we were the better more physical team and we still found a way to lose. But if we can step back from the heartbreaking loss for moment and be honest with ourselves, there was improvement in multiple areas and if this team can grow with this new identity (defense and power run game) they should go bowling.

you just wait come 2026, we are going to be right there winning 8 to 9 games. Maybe 2027. Nebraska fans have to be patient. 😂

That's all you have to say? Defend your comment. Where do you see 6 wins? Back it up and stand behind it my guy.

You can't believe negativity coming from Nebraska football fans? 😂

I'm honestly convinced that Nebraska got jinxed somehow. No other way to explain it. Like the Curse of the Bambino. But with, oh, I don't know - Bob Devaney?

Sims play compounded the already turnover and penalties issue this team has. What was it 70-80% of those who started or played Thursday played the last two seasons. Hopefully that changes going forward.

Nebraska needed to win at least 1 of the first 2 games to be in bowl contention this year, so whether we admit it or not, our bowl chances took a serious hit over the last few days for two reasons:

1. They gave away another winnable game. Frankly, I expected them to lose, but what was disheartening is that the team looked exactly like it did with Frost, including a choking, turnover prone quarterback, questionable substitutions (looking at you, Grant), and bad play calling.

2. Colorado appears much more formidable than most of us (including myself) believed. Going into the year, I had this one as a W. Now, based on what I saw from both teams this past weekend, it would be a surprise if Nebraska is still in the game going intp the 4th quarter.

Hoping I'm wrong, but looks like another 4 win season.

I think what’s disheartening is that our guys lost to a team that, quite frankly, isn’t any good. Minny’s defense is ok, but their offense is pedestrian and predictable. That was not only a winnable game, but with 5 min to play with the ball at midfield with the lead, you have to put that game away. Unfortunately we had a guy run the ball that can’t take care of it. Minnesota sucks and our guys found a way to still lose.

Makes no sense to drop a guy from starting to 3rd string and you have him in the game running the ball at the most critical part of the game time left.😩

It so funny. Nebraska loses to Minnesota and Minnesota sucks. Had Nebraska held on to win the narrative would have been that Nebraska beat a team coming off a 9 win season.

Not at all. And what happened last year is irrelevant for any team. New year, new rosters. Minny had a good RB last year. Had Nebraska won, all of us including me would have been happy. But I still would have said our guys beat an equally bad team. Those were not two good teams playing Thursday night.

But most, except NW or Purdue are better than us.
Meh every game in the west is winnable. Yes we aren't good. But neither is anyone else in the west. I have a feeling this team will be better after a few games. Now if Satterfield goes rogue again and Rhule doesn't step it. Then I will become more concerned.
