Many, like her feel that systemic racism/injustice grip our nation and they are just drawing attention to it in hopes of rooting it out
Ehhhh, they are acting. They are marketing themselves to make the most that they can, which makes sense.

With that said, the group of people that have it the easy, easier than anyone in the world, especially the USA, are smoking hot females.

Her battle with "injustice" should be that a smoking hot female athlete makes way more than she ever will, like that Livie Dunn girl.

How did people not see that one from a mile away?

The BLM founders were brilliant, talk about leading lambs to the slaughter.

Changing your avatar to black and donating 50 dollars to a fake fund...so that you could "feel better" about something that wasn't your fault at all.

There were people that lost their jobs if they criticized this movement or didn't support it. My company sent out an email supporting the protests and basically implying we were supposed to follow along. My coworker spoke out against it and was fired.

Its the main reason I left my teacher union in Los Angeles. It became a social justice union. Once I saw all the support from the union to BLM Portland I got out. Saved me 110 a month

Fun fact: In the mid 70s when a bunch of South Vietnamese were being resettled into the US after the war, they gravitated to San Francisco. Concurrently, the population of stray dogs in SF plummeted. True story.

I choose to stand and support Coach Rhule. Obviously many here do not. Thankful for his leadership of this program and the opportunity to pass these values to members of our program so that they can go out and address the ills of our nation beyond sport

——————————————-

"So many of us know that overt racism is easy to spot. We see it and we know that it's wrong, we know that it's hateful, we say, 'Hey, I don't feel that way,'" Rhule said. "But what's gripping our country is systemic racism, and to me, it must be rooted out at every turn. That's all of our jobs — to admit that we do see color, we do see differences, to not sit there and say we don't see that. It's there and our society needs all of us — all of us at every turn — to root it out."
To that end, Rhule emphasized a commitment to making sure the words he's speaking now don't ring hollow in the years to come.
"What's clear to me is that history will look back at where we stood in this time," Rhule said. "I know my kids — when little Leona is in college 16 years from now or whatever it is — they'll look back at this time and this place and they'll want to know where their father stood, where their mother stood. Our grandkids will want to know where we stood in this time. That's a tremendous thing to think about, and I know what it means for me is I can't shy away from this moment."

You have the option of not being in it? What "benefits" did you lose? Union representation if something goes wrong legally?

History will look back to see where people stood on this issue and who chose to shy away
History will also look back at who was virtue signaling and then stopped doing so as if the "problem" was suddenly solved.

Yeah for the longest time.. Like 11 years you had no choice. There was some court ruling I think in 2019 that allowed those to opt out. I was fed up with the social justice stuff and the insistence of employees being vaxxed and making us wear masks long after the county made it optional. I had a 6 week window to send a letter of withdrawal. So I did. I lost the union representation but that's it. So any raises I still got and I am actually waiting on a retro raise even though I am no longer employed by the district. LA is a big union town and I never really bought in. Many I worked with aksws how they could get out but were afraid of repercussions. The mask thing really pissed me off though because it messed with kids in a large way. I still had over 50% kids wearing them in class in June. It was ridiculous. Kids wearing them in PE outside. It wasn't a germ thing it was I'm ashamed of my face thing.

Gotta disagree with my good friend Tampa on this advice. If you get that email from a Nigerian prince, empty out your savings and send it to him. The prince is combating racism and stuff. You'll be doing the right thing, which means you can give yourself a sweet comfort snuggle.

Shows how much I pay attention. What's the deal with blue or purple hair.
Hair color has nothing to do with it. It is the disrespect a certain purple hair has coming out of her mouth.

As I said earlier, she does not embody the ideals I personally hold dear as an American.

Shut up and kick the ball!

They usually fall under the WOKE category..
Between concluding that the university has to apologize to Maryland volleyball for Neb fans reaction to them kneeling during the anthem and changing the mascot - we have the most woke athletic director in all of college sports

"I am disappointed that some of our fans would react that way, and apologize to the Maryland volleyball program," Alberts said.

They are forcing an agenda most do not agree with.

Leave politics out of sports. I hope they lose in embarrassing fashion.

They are embarrassing USA, and International Soccer at the same time.

I will cheer for a team that embodies values held dear to most Americans. This team does not.

First time in my life I am actively hoping a National team fails.

They do not represent my values as an American.
BS. I’m not sure you know what’s dear to most Americans if this dribble is any indication

No one is warped. Did you actually read it yourself?

The majority of sports fans are sick and tired of politics shoved down their throats during a live event.

The fact is the Women’s soccer team is more concerned about alphabet soup politics than honoring our Country.

That is the issue.
I don’t give a f ck what Rapinoe does in her private life.
Keep it private. 5% should not get to dictate what is correct when it comes to personal preference and correct reaction to said dictation.

That is what is wrong with Women’s soccer team.

Dribble is what goes down your leg, or chin.

Drivel is what your arguments are.

There is a difference. Makes me wonder how much else you do not know.

i don’t expect anything from athletes except on-field performance

Anyone who complains/is offended about what another individual says is weak, soft

anything less than a resounding title will be a massive disappointment to any who care to watch/follow (not me, although I am intrigued by international soccer, women’s sports just don’t compare. I cannot comprehend volleyball “fans” (they’re fake is my best hypothesis))

John Cook, Trev and the Neb players strongly disagree

I think it is fair to say they were embarrassed to be huskers that day

"I’m disappointed that happens at Nebraska at a volleyball match," Cook said. "I hope it doesn’t happen again."
