Hard fought and well earned
Driving through Wyoming from Cheyenne to Yellowstone, there were parts of that state that I thought to myself, I wouldn't pay $1 and acre for, just some sage brush and rocks.I'd argue Wyoming should be in there. They may have Yellowstone and some nice scenery in spots. That is one boring state outside the Northwest corner
You haven’t been to much Wyoming , what about Yellowstone National Park? Beats anything Nebraska had to offer .I'd argue Wyoming should be in there. They may have Yellowstone and some nice scenery in spots. That is one boring state outside the Northwest corner
You must have missed the part of the state around Buffalo and Sheridan in the NE. I'd take that kind of boring all day long.I'd argue Wyoming should be in there. They may have Yellowstone and some nice scenery in spots. That is one boring state outside the Northwest corner
Do you work for Nebraska’s Tourism Department or something?Yes....Nebraska sucks....to anyone thinking about moving or visiting here....don't....you can do better.
Please stay in California.Yes....Nebraska sucks....to anyone thinking about moving or visiting here....don't....you can do better.
It is a pretty big wasteland. But the Grand Tetons….wowI'd argue Wyoming should be in there. They may have Yellowstone and some nice scenery in spots. That is one boring state outside the Northwest corner
Every corner of Wyoming has fantastic spots. LOVE to visit there. Wouldn’t want to live in their central desert or Gillette but other than that I love that place.I'd argue Wyoming should be in there. They may have Yellowstone and some nice scenery in spots. That is one boring state outside the Northwest corner
I said outside of yellowstone...You haven’t been to much Wyoming , what about Yellowstone National Park? Beats anything Nebraska had to offer .
Pretty tough to gauge any state by what you see from your car. If you are looking for things to do that involve people, development, and cities avoid Wyoming like the plague. If you are an active outdoor person, Wyoming is a wonderland. Its where people who live in Colorado go to enjoy the mountains and the outdoors without 5 million other people.I drove through Wyoming on my way to Spokane Washington for a job. There is definitely scenery but outside of that it is dead, and I felt Montana was a better drive
If I lived near the ocean would I go to the ocean more often than I do now? Sure...would it be more than say, 10 times a year, probably not.
It is so true! The ocean is so over rated. You can't build on it, or drive a car on it, or mountain bike on it, it smells like dead fish, and it's full of things that want to kill you. Pass.
This area is on my bucket list. You must have missed the part of the state around Buffalo and Sheridan in the NE. I'd take that kind of boring all day long.

Idaho is an outdoor paradise. I question how anyone would think it's remotely boring. Hiking, fishing, camping, hunting, rock climbing, skiing, white water rafting. Even hiking to hot springs and chilling is fun.My List would be
1. Kansas (Nebraska has the Henry Doorly Zoo and Toadstool National Park)
2. North Dakota (One winter here will make Nebraska look like the funnest State ever!)
3. Nebraska
4. Iowa
5. Indiana
6. Oklahoma
7. Kentucky
8. Wyoming
9. Ohio
10. Idaho
Agree except for Minnesota. People in Minnesota revolve their entire lives around the lakes and Northwoods. Local people. People from the twin cities. Rich. Poor. Winter. Summer. Doesn't matter. Everyone goes to the lakes. Never seen a place where people own so many toys either. Seems like everyone has a boat, snowmobile, ice castle, camper, atv/utv.There has always been this weird idea that certain states are lame and some are fun.
I know people that by/near the ocean and/or mountains always mention that as their excuse for not attending games or being a fan of sports. But the truth is, for most people that live near that stuff, they don't really "use" it all that much.
They pretend like they will but it ends up being treated like a gym membership...we all have one but 90% of us don't use it.
I grew up near Lake Michigan and probably went to the lake 12 times in my life and that is the same for all my friends, even though we were 20 minutes from it.
Like people in Vegas that live near the strip, they never go unless friends come to visit.

Totally agree, I think "lake life" is totally different than ocean life.Agree except for Minnesota. People in Minnesota revolve their entire lives around the lakes and Northwoods. Local people. Yeah, that lasts the entire winter in MN. Lol.Totally agree, I think "lake life" is totally different than ocean life.
Like, Okobogi has the winter fest thing where you snowmobile from one bar to the next all day long. That is freaking awesome.
Drove through during January and it was a a white knuckle drive. Blowing snow and white outs for about 3 hours. Summer drive I try to drive through at night but even the summer wind gusts can jolt a carI drove through Wyoming on my way to Spokane Washington for a job. Cloud Peak Wilderness is very beautiful. For a road less traveled you can hike in from the NW side if you want. From the south there’s some beautiful hikes starting at West Tensleep Lake. Lake Helen is top shelf. Great trout fishing. Mirror Lake is very beautiful as well. This area is on my bucket list.
I have a 2 and 4 year old, waiting for them to get to the age they can hoof it with me.Cloud Peak Wilderness is very beautiful. For a road less traveled you can hike in from the NW side if you want. Yeah...F that!Drove through during January and it was a a white knuckle drive. Blowing snow and white outs for about 3 hours. Summer drive I try to drive through at night but even the summer wind gusts can jolt a car
I said outside of yellowstone...
There are some very nice lakes on the perimeter of that Wilderness that you can drive to. West Tensleep Lake is pretty. Meadowlark Lake on the south side is right on Hwy 16. There’s a lodge with cabins and a cafe there(bar too).I have a 2 and 4 year old, waiting for them to get to the age they can hoof it with me.
I had a hiking trip planned to the Cirque De Towers in the Winds about 15 years ago but it got cancelled when they issued advisories because of bear problems. The Snowy Range by Laramie is awesome and beautiful. And it's nowhere near Yellowstone.

So does every other state not listed in my Top 10. Illinois has lots to do if you are fan of urban living, and they have Lake Michigan. Idaho is not terrible, but I am not going out of my way to visit there. I drove through it going to Spokane. That is all I know of it, and there is not a lot of "Come see me" places it is known for. I'd replace it with Texas, but like Illinois it has a lot of good living for urban type people.Idaho is an outdoor paradise. I question how anyone would think it's remotely boring. Hiking, fishing, camping, hunting, rock climbing, skiing, white water rafting. Even hiking to hot springs and chilling is fun.
It does get crowded and people are animals, leaving their trash all over the beach. I’ve seen this many times and it’s always a huge turn off.I've lived 15 miles from the ocean for 17 years and maybe have been 5 times. Too crowded and smells
THANK you. Plus most of the beaches, unless you're on some high dollar vacation destination, are absolute trash and full of trash people leaving their trash everywhere. Ocean is usually too cold to swim in.The ocean is so over rated. You can't build on it, or drive a car on it, or mountain bike on it, it smells like dead fish, and it's full of things that want to kill you. Pass.
This.Yes....Nebraska sucks....to anyone thinking about moving or visiting here....don't....you can do better.
